My very first time fishing for tuna in San Diego. Seaforth sportfishing is indeed one of the best place to go and experience the ultimate adventure for bigger fish. @@lost4real777 I really think the Phenix 25-60 is well suited for the Penn 40. I have the Phenix 20-40 and my old suit was with Penn 40 ( on the video) , now i'm using the Avet MXJ 5.8 MC for my Phenix 20-40 for flyline. My Penn 40 will be suited with higher lbs main line, perhaps 60 or 80 rated rod and i will be using it for jigging or sinker attached rig. Hope this helps.

Nice video! Not sure why you went into low speed so early. Try to stay in high speed until your fish is up and down and then you may want to use low speed. Great action! The San Diego is a fishy boat.

My first time using a 2 speed reel, A matter of fact, it's my very first 2 speed reel. Almost all my Conventional reels are older like 20yrs old ( Penn, Daiwa etc..). With the new 2 speed reel, I was testing how it feels like using the second gear while on the fish. You were right and i agree, by using low speed gained better line retrieved and once the fish is closer high speed is best. The Charter boat crews was very helpful addressing this method also. Thanks to your input and thanks for watching. BTW, ( San Diego Charter) why Fishy? I'm about to book again for next year.

Was it because you think you're fishing with a spinning reel? ---- Answer: Assumption without evidence.... Lots of people are using spinning reels simply because, that's their rights to choose.
