The bracelet and dial r so good on this watch. My only real complaint is the hand set. I already have 2 san martin watches with this hand set, and I really don't want a 3rd, but the rest of it is so darn nice.

This is the first watch by an AliExpress brand that really transcends their space. Previous models by San Martin established their new and proprietary design language, but this one brings it home, especially with that tastefully designed bracelet and proudly Chinese dial finish. San Martin can really iterate from here on and milk this base design until the cows come home: 37mm, 41mm, GMT variant, hand wound dress version on leather, etc. etc.

I preordered this and have it for a month or so; the blue in the center is excellent, but it fades into a yellowish ugly color towards the indices. I wish it faded to black like the original photo renders. Other than this, the new bracelet despite being sharp everywhere, is actually very comfortable to wear. The new on the fly adjustment is fantastic, and the combo of brushing and polishing is great

I received my watch 3 days ago and I have not stopped wearing it.The watch is stunning and the finishing superb.I don't know what to call the colour of the face turquoise or teal I'm not bothered it's gorgeous. I think I will by one of the other colours in the 11/11 sale I am so impressed with it.👍👍👍👍👍

I'd very curious to run an experiment where you take a watch like this and put a well known brand name on it like Oris or Longines and see what people who have never seen it before think of it. It is very hard to fault this watch and I could easily see this in the Oris line up selling for 1500-2000. With that said, I have 2 SMs and an Oris so I have the means to compare them side by side :) The Oris is noticeably better finished, the steel just has a much nicer smoother more delicate feel. the SM edges need a little work. However, it looks like they have addressed this issue with this watch.

My long-time favorite budget watches were the Cadisen Diamond and Starking Sapphire, both Miyota 9015 dress watches at very low prices. Good to know that this San Martin has the 9015, makes it more palatable. Another interesting watch is Zezame, they only have one model so far, with YN55 Epson movement (used in Orient).

Would’ve loved to see this one with dauphine hands and maybe different indices. They used the same handset and markers on that other watch but still looks great.

Great looking watch, and a nice thorough review. The amplitude looked a little low on the timegrapher, but I have found my Miyota 9039 takes around 50 turns of the crown to reach full wind (!) and I'm pretty sure the unidirectional winding is much less efficient than the Seiko magic lever. The 9015 is still a fantastic movement, I would choose it over pt5000 definitely and even lower grades of sw200.

overall, I like this watch a lot. especially the choice of movement and design. personal opinion: I hate a good design watch using nh35, it is so inconsistent. the yn55 is much more consistent

It’s about the same price as the new Erebus Ascent. Built in the same factory (so I’m lead to believe). Comes down to choice of colours really and the bracelet being different. Otherwise, dial pattern aside, these two watches seem incredibly similar.

I think that the people in San Martin need to get someone who knows more about colors or color palettes and/or their name in English before marketing their watches. I wouldn’t call this one blue, as you mentioned, it’s closer to a turquoise. I bought their Ranger homage in what they called blue and the dial color has been a disappointment, also being more of a teal than blue.
