Totally agree on picking off season items!! I got so many boots and sweaters, including cashmere and merino wool, over the summer. It was a gold mine!

Love your videos! can you do a video showing how or where on the article do you check for stains, rips, snags etc... on the clothing, do you buy with some stains or damage or you leave those behind how do you decide when to take it home or leave it even if it's not perfect and if you do it at the place your buying or when you get home, like how you go about it, you can do it there not necessarily in the thrift shop or where ever to show us, thank you.

Thanks for your nice and thorough video. I have been disappointed in my shoe sales thus far. Initally it was an appealing category because of the "high" asp. However, they do take up a lot of space and the sizes are SO specific. Also they can be heavy and expensive to ship - especially men's dress shoes. Also, shoes actually get WORN, meaning they deteriorate so you have to be careful when purchasing and only upon close examination do the flaws appear. This is all not to mention THE CLEANING! It's time consuming and kinda gross. That said, I do believe I have a good eye for a quality leather shoe that is classic. As always, there are some surprises. I sold a Badgley Mischka espadrille sandal almost overnight that I got cheap at a local thrift. Some J. Crew espadrille wedges got returned because they run very small. I am hesitant to even list that item again. So far, I have not listed any boots as it will be my first winter coming up. I dread the storage requirements for these. I will keep watching your channel to learn how to maximize this category. You seem like you've got it!

I feel you on those cons to shoes. It was definitely a learning process. Till this day I bring home shoes with flaws that should be obvious but was not at the thrift store. Storage is starting to be an issue here too. I like everything else about selling shoes though. With cleaning I try not to pick up anything that needs more that 4 or 5 minutes to clean. Unless it's really worth it. Hope fall and winter are exceptionally good for you though!

Any time is a good time to run a sale. I'd say use the "My Shoppers" tool to send a message to all likers and past buyers notifying them about your sale. To give you an idea here's the message I used in the past: "Hey there, I'm running a 50% Off END OF YEAR SALE today. If you buy 2 or more items you’ll get 50% off your entire order. Simply ❤ or bundle the items you're interested in from my closet, comment "done" below, & I'll send you the offer. Feel free to reply here with any questions. Happy Poshing!"

The new tag I'd say more based on price and condition because for the most part all new tag Naturalizers are solid styles. The older tag more based on style because those are sometimes too outdated and not trendy.

These is the message I have saved on textblaze to respond "I'm sorry these aren't my size. I'm not sure if they run small or big." I used to go out of my way to Google wheather the brand runs big or small. Then I would add ".. but according to a Google search this brand usually runs small/big."

I'm not worried about the new fees. Eventually they'll just be the new normal. But yes it's a good idea to always have at least 2 platforms going. That way when one is slow (due to changes or something else) the other will sustain you.

No. That's not how sales work. They pay poshmark and poshmark sends you the shipping label. Don't interact with "buyers" via email. Keep it all on the app.

The only ways I know is Google lens and (when you're lucky) the shoes will have the year on the tag.

Shoes were more profitable for me at the time, I sold shoes faster, and there are so many in my area. The only drawback with this business model is that shoes take up more space :(

Nope it sucks. Worst 4th quarter ever thus far on top of worst year. Probably should really stop posting all this stuff as you just continue to encourage more resellers and do nothing but piss off the buyers cause they assume we are ripping them off so Social media is killing our hustle

I don't think resellers posting informative videos is the issue. Otherwise everyone's sales would be low and we'd all be out of business. Hope you figure out what is causing your low sales and that your sales get better.

@@youloseimthewinner I'm not active on social media. I guess you have a point. Without social media there would be a lot less competition, but also without social media (mainly KZbin), I wouldn't know about reselling. I learned (and continue to learn) brands, systems, selling techniques, and other tips from other resellers to get me started. There are always going to be issues that arise with any business whether it's an increase in competition or something else. You either have to learn new strategies, pivot, and make it work, or decide to switch to a different line of work.

That's how I learned more about it all too but eventually when it starts to affect your own business in the amount of information we just willingly share then hopefully people will take a step back cause look at half the people commenting on here. Most are all newbies. Yes it affects your algorithm and commission from YT but if you look at YOY stats you should be seeing a decline like everyone else. Google it. There are soo many forums and platforms talking about this and long time resellers experiencing the same . This isn't my full time job so I'm not concerned and don't need to occur or change anything. I'm not hurting like many others. We just need to stop handing out trade secrets and tips. The markets are oversaturated with too many resellers and not enough buyers
