I’m going to check out this record when I am in the mood for Swedish-style death metal. I really like the last record from a couple years ago; it was a very enjoyable fusion of Dismember, Intestine Baalism and Gatecreeper.

Absolutely loved this album! I'm more of a Swedeath Enby, but I will never say no to some mildly experimental not-quite-tech death that adds a bit more to the US Death Metal flavour. Besides Spectral Voice, I haven't listened to much Death/Doom this year. Any recs?

Tzompantli comes to mind right away. Heavy brutal death metal with ominous lurching grooves and lots of Indiginous Mexican influence.
