RA A I had a C section 3 months ago and I wish that this video existed before I had a C section. My doctors and nurses literally forced me to have a C section. I was telling them that I don’t want to have a C section and that I want to go home and deal with my pain at home so they refused to let me out of the hospital. I felt the pressure and I asked them why do I need a C section and they couldn’t give me any clear explanation other than that my daughter was a having a heart problems and her weight was dropping below the average babies which was a big lie because she came out perfectly healthy baby girl I will never forget the experience plus I got the flu while I was at the hospital I had my flu shot at my 36 week appointment.

@ashleyashleym29695 жыл бұрын
@@qaaliquruxmedia heart problems or drop in heart rate I think is actually a legitimate reason for a C section if the vaginal birth isn't progressing quickly as that indicates stress on the baby and possible complications if you are to wait to deliver vaginally. I'm against C sections, but they have their time and place. And you can walk out of the hospital really, you cannot be held at the hospital against your will unless youre deemed mentally incapable of making that sort of decision or you pose a threat to yourself or others or of course you're a minor. I wouldn't recommend walking out of the hospital though, I would trust the doctors opinion so long as they can explain themselves.

@kayleighm78565 жыл бұрын
Blood clots😥. I have a Blood clotting disorder so a c section would be high risk to form a clot and have it go to the lung (pulmonary embolism) which usually is fatal. Any surgery poses a risk for this but is ten fold for women like me that have Factor Five Leiden, they dont even routinely check women for this oddly but im glad i pushed for the testing. I take a daily blood thinner to prevent a clot during pregnancy. I stopped when in labor and start a few hrs on the Shots again after birth for 6 weeks postpartum.

I wish I’d found you when I was pregnant but this video was still so interesting to me. I did not have a c-section but a friend of mine recently did because her baby was “big” (9 lb 6 ozs) and her dr kind of scared her into it by telling her the baby had a 25% chance of getting stuck and they would have to push him back in and then do the c-section. My doctor, on the other hand, was ALL about avoiding a c-section and I was able to have a vaginal delivery with a 9 lb 3 oz baby. I am so glad, after watching this, that my doctor was actually my biggest advocate for avoiding a c-section and actually hadn’t even mentioned that my daughter was on the bigger side so I didn’t really have any worries at all about that while I was in labor.

Then with her second she also pushed for 3 hours and delivered a 9lb 2oz baby boy vaginally without tearing or an episiotomy. It may take a while to get a larger baby out but it can happen. I hate when I hear stories of women being pushed into unnecessary cesareans

I had a C-section with my last child, and my OBGYN told me that I'd HAD to have another one now that I'm pregnant again. She scared me by telling me that I was at risk for uterine rupture, and I couldn't sleep for days. I kept picturing my baby moving inside, and every time I thought I was about to bleed to death. I was terrified. I was so overwhelmed with fear, that I was seriously considering an abortion. Doctors need to stop forcing C-sections just to avoid overlapping patients. My last C-section was performed by a doctor who ran out of the delivery room BEFORE he stitched me up. He left an INTERN there to finish his job. People have trust issues with doctors for this very reason. Most, if not all of them seem to get into the field just for the paycheck. I haven't found a decent one yet.

Don't let fear into your mind, speak possitive things to yourself, lay your hands on your baby and declar what you want. The last thing a pregnant mummy needs to have is fear! Be possitive and let nothing take that from you
@albatraozgirl4 жыл бұрын
Uterine rupture is so extremely unlikely. Stick to your guns and go for a VBAC. These doctors don't look at the statistics. I've done so much research because I'm doing VBAC and don't have the support of my current prenatal care provider. They want to cover their own butt and not give you a trial of labor. It isn't whats best for you or baby. Don't let anyone tell you to do something you don't want to. Get a doula or find support online and change providers.
@MeatlessManhattan5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this video. Must mention that if you test positive for gerd bacteria and your water has broken, you have about 24 hours to deliver. If you are not dilating, you will end up with a uterine infection which causes risk to the baby. So, you don’t always have all the time in the world to wait for 6 cm cervical dilation. I say this from experience. I have had a c section and am doing my best to have a vbac in a few months. Overall - great video...thank you for taking the time to educate us.

Wish I watched this for my baby born in March! He was my first, I pushed for 4.5 hours, was being prepped for a c-section but I wanted to keep trying because I never prepared myself mentally for a C-Cection, big mistake! Luckily, we tried a suction cup last second and it worked! I was so greatful! 💙

33 years old 4th baby.. vaginal deliveries all prior 3 babies. Very thankful. Due in Jan 2025, 3months to go so hoping I can continue vaginal delivery because this last one has me lazy which is totally opposite than other 3 which kept me active, but I am eating super healthy. 🤞🏾😂 thank u Sarah for your VIDEOS!!❤❤

I wish I had seen this video before I went into labor. I live in Egypt and they rushed me into a c section as a first time mom. I’m so broken over how everything went. I am however grateful for my baby and her health but recovery was so hard and I’m still depressed almost 3mos pp
@twobluebutterflies3 жыл бұрын
Typical Egyptian doctors approach.. why did they rush you ? Is it because your pelvis is too small (as usually claimed) 🤣
@TheBlackHijabi913 жыл бұрын
@@twobluebutterflies i was actually not given a reason. Although there was nothing wrong with me or my baby she said, “ we have to do a c section to see why the baby isn’t coming down” my daughter was born with her head cone shaped as if she was born vaginally. That tells me that she was very much so in my pelvis and at my cervix but dr didn’t want to wait. 2 years later I’m still bitter.

I’ve had a vaginal delivery and a c section.... I almost died after my vaginal delivery, I hemorrhaged severely. I was deathly afraid of giving birth the second time. I ended up needing a c section the second time due to shoulder dystocia. My c section went perfectly! I had zero issues during and after. It was such a great experience compared to vaginal delivery.

Thank you!! I am a FTM 39 weeks and I am trying to have the most natural- intervention free birth at a hospital. It's very scary that our c section rate is so high in the US. :( I think it's key to inform ourselves. My mom had 3 c-sections pushed on her for no other reason than the doctor didn't think she could have a baby vaginally. In hindsight she thinks he just wanted to schedule her and get her out of the way. She said she wished she would have armed herself better. Thank you for this video!!

2 out of my 4 babies were born breech safely and relatively easily vaginally at home with a trained midwife. Breech is a variation of normal, babies are born in the position that is best for them ♡

My first pregnancy I gained 50 lbs even while really active, but everything else I did pretty much even though I’m just now seeing this video. Thankfully had a doula because the doctors and nurses had no patience with me when my dilation was slow and they tried to induce me with pitocin before I was even at 4 cm. I ended up letting them break my water but they said they’d give me 12 hours to deliver or else I’d have a c-section, and now I’m seeing from your videos that it’s safe even 18-24 hours later. Thankfully I didn’t need a c-section, but that experience made me want to avoid hospitals and go with a midwife at a birth center. This pregnancy I’ve already gained more than recommended and I’m 37 years old and my obgyn started scaring me about a “big baby” but I have no gestational diabetes or high blood pressure. My midwife I switched to had no concerns about the baby’s size or my age.

That’s exactly what happened with me with my first born. I had little support and the doctor scared me literally into a c-section. She told me baby was big and If he got stuck they would have to break his shoulder and that could cause brain damage. Not the way I wanted my welcoming into motherhood to go. Wish I watched a video like this 2 and a half years ago! Now pregnant with my second and now I know what to expect!

@noraraeafm5 жыл бұрын
Why are you getting induced in general?
@azzula7295 жыл бұрын
Why are you scared of a c section? It's actualy very simple and straightforward. I went for an induction after a perfect pregnancy and while I was sitting there (literally nothing had happend I was waiting for sombody to canulate me) I was on the monitor and had been for over an hour. Suddenly her heart rate droped, they broke my water (through a closed cirvix ouch! ) it was clear at first but near the end went brownish as she had been so distressed she pooed. But by that time i was already been rushed into surgery, she came out blue, limp, not breathing as the cord had been very tight around her neck. Haveing a c section saved her life and it was super easy and quick. Now I still agree that a vaginal birth is the goal, but if you need one then you need one and they arnt as Scarey as they sound. 😊

I'm a first time mom, 37 weeks, getting induced next week. I've been looking up everything to avoid getting a C-Section so this is very helpful! I've only gained 6lbs. The baby is completely average for its age range. I've eaten like one of those crazy TV moms who "eat for two" and often have a milkshake a few times a week. I STILL barely gained weight. And thus, I call this baby my lovely little parasite

My baby was 10 pounds and I pushed two hours. All natural, no drugs, no epidural. Believe I had an epidural the second time around.
@LifeWTrenaTwins5 жыл бұрын
Miss B. I heard that babies come quicker without drugs and epidural slows labor down is that true? taking it you had an epidural the second time. I’m due in 9 weeks, I wanna do it naturally but I’m having twins so I’m nervous about it.
@Tata-iu3fy5 жыл бұрын
Natural Glam93 I’m not sure love. Both of my labors were long. My baby with an epidural was shorter labor than my first natural baby. I pushed for hours with him, and less than 10 minutes with my son that I had the epidural with. I think varies from woman to woman.
@Tata-iu3fy5 жыл бұрын
Natural Glam93 it’s going to be okay. You should do what makes you comfortable and happy. The pain is real, but it’s all worth it. Congratulations on your baby. I’m going to be a grandma and I am so excited.
