Damn… It’s worth pointing out the truly professional job you do at planning, filming, editing, and music selection on your videos. I hope others note that you do this totally on your own. they should be showing this on big screens at wayne assembly to show the folks on the line how much people love their work. i bet they would be very inspired. it was just another truck on a tuesday back when they built it, but they are parts of our lives you cant get back but you can keep some of those pieces if you want to restore a little green truck. great job.

My first truck was a 96 Ford Ranger Supercab - I had to sell it back in 2006 and I miss it to this day. Watching you bring your Gram's truck back to life has been so cathartic and nostalgic and sad and happy all at the same time - I don't want to see it come to an end and yet I can't wait to see it brought back to Glory!!

One aspect of why I love this restoration series so much, is that you are putting so much time and effort into something that other people would see as "just a worthless old truck", proving that all cars and trucks can be special and priceless for very personal reasons. BTW, your videos are better than TV in all ways imaginable. I'm addicted for life ;)

all those black plastic parts you can restore the color and protect simultaneously using a ceramic coating. The color returns to black instantly and you get the ceramic protection. (yes the same ceramic coating used for paint)

I great cheap plastic trim restorer I found over the years is "Turtle Wax Trim Restorer"......It's about $7 a bottle goes on super easy and lasts at least 6 months if the vehicle is outside and way longer if stored inside. This was another fantastic restoration video Sarah.

You're right about heating the plastics. It draws the oils in the plastic to the surface but actually makes them more brittle. Find it only lasts a month or so too.

Plastics chemist here-It depends on the type of plastic your working on. Some have oils in them to soften them a bit others are just raw hard plastic. Taking a heat gun to the plastic will degrade it slightly but if you're careful and just use the heat lightly, the degradation will be slight and on the surface. Do what you need to to get the best result and put some type of cleaner/protectant on it and have lots of fresh air to get rid of fumes so you don't breath it in.

I winced too when you bashed your ankle bone on that case, I've done that a coupla times with thin skin over bone areas on various parts of cars I've worked on, BUT, luckily it didn't hurt as much as that time you whelped your elbow on something while working underneath TeeterTot! 🤔😊 😎🇬🇧
