Call the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn. Was just there yesterday, and their vehicles from that era don't look that nice.

Your detailing makes wonders to those seemingly hopelessly aged parts. Just take your time and make as many Ranger videos as your progress requires - they never get old. 👍

Damn… It’s worth pointing out the truly professional job you do at planning, filming, editing, and music selection on your videos. I hope others note that you do this totally on your own. On top of that is your mastery as a mechanic/technician/detailer while sticking to an insane, never fail 72-hour upload schedule. Gram’s Ranger is a true labor of love. Thank you! 👍👍👍

Hi Sarah, Words cannot describe how Amazing you are. You're a highly intelligent Lady with outstanding work ethics. I must say your skill level is 100%. You have rebuilt Grams Ford Ranger from ground up and now it's looks better than when it was brand new. This is a magnificent accomplishment that has your name all over it Upon reading the many comments it appears to me that everyone Love's you and enjoys watching what you do. Great job Sarah.

Love the little details and going the extra mile to try to source or save as many original parts as possible. Ranger is turning out awesome and think your Grandma would have been proud of the work you have done to save it. they should be showing this on big screens at wayne assembly to show the folks on the line how much people love their work. i bet they would be very inspired. it was just another truck on a tuesday back when they built it, but they are parts of our lives you cant get back but you can keep some of those pieces if you want to restore a little green truck. great job.

My first truck was a 96 Ford Ranger Supercab - I had to sell it back in 2006 and I miss it to this day. Watching you bring your Gram's truck back to life has been so cathartic and nostalgic and sad and happy all at the same time - I don't want to see it come to an end and yet I can't wait to see it brought back to Glory!!

The whitewall cleaner did a great job on the tank! Very impressive! The3 score on the fender flares is like hitting the lotto. That was fate calling.

One aspect of why I love this restoration series so much, is that you are putting so much time and effort into something that other people would see as "just a worthless old truck", proving that all cars and trucks can be special and priceless for very personal reasons. BTW, your videos are better than TV in all ways imaginable. I'm addicted for life ;)

all those black plastic parts you can restore the color and protect simultaneously using a ceramic coating. The color returns to black instantly and you get the ceramic protection. (yes the same ceramic coating used for paint)

Sarah, have you ever done a video 'behind the scenes' of how you edit these videos? I would LOVE to see that ....showing your timelines and your software, what type of plug-ins you use, where you get your 'beans' and 'penguins' for supers. and of course the sound effects to mask the occasional 'muck up'!!

I great cheap plastic trim restorer I found over the years is "Turtle Wax Trim Restorer"......It's about $7 a bottle goes on super easy and lasts at least 6 months if the vehicle is outside and way longer if stored inside. This was another fantastic restoration video Sarah.

You're right about heating the plastics. It draws the oils in the plastic to the surface but actually makes them more brittle. Find it only lasts a month or so too.

Plastics chemist here-It depends on the type of plastic your working on. Some have oils in them to soften them a bit others are just raw hard plastic. Taking a heat gun to the plastic will degrade it slightly but if you're careful and just use the heat lightly, the degradation will be slight and on the surface. Do what you need to to get the best result and put some type of cleaner/protectant on it and have lots of fresh air to get rid of fumes so you don't breath it in.

I winced too when you bashed your ankle bone on that case, I've done that a coupla times with thin skin over bone areas on various parts of cars I've worked on, BUT, luckily it didn't hurt as much as that time you whelped your elbow on something while working underneath TeeterTot! 🤔😊 😎🇬🇧

From any angle anyone would care to see, this truck looks phenomenally cleaner than any new one from the factory "back in the day". You just keep on keepin' on at your pace, don't go cheap on the work. Whatever it takes, it takes. Thanks for all your efforts Sarah, you do phenomenal video work too.
