I feel so bad that you’re so stressed that you bite your nails so much! I totally get it though! Any chance of a restock of glitterbells essentials (dehydrator, vase, top and maybe some of the starter kits)? I’m new on my nail journey and really want to try glitterbells but I can’t seem to catch a restock of the items I’d need to start off with. Love your channel by the way and thank you for sharing all that you do!

I think they are really cute, u r amazing at using the e-file with your non-dominant hand u make it look so easy. I cut myself to ribbons but slowly getting better. What frustrates me the most is that it takes me so long (approx 5hrs) for both hands and that's with just acrylic and polish nothing fancy or artistic. Not one to normally keep her promises, she kept this one and got me a little gold ring with two tiny diamonds. I haven’t bitten since. I bit my nails until I was 46 years old. I did a career change, but, I had to have clean decent nails. I wanted the job, so I prayed to God to help me with the urge to bite them. Driving stuck in traffic was the hardest time. Sucking on breath mints, munching on popcorn ect...helped. Now I have long natural nails. I will tell you after I prayed, most of the urge was gone. You're nails came out beautiful. Love that glitter!

Absolutely 👍🏼. Some people laugh or roll their eyes when you extolled the benefits of prayer, but it REALLY DOES HELP! I think it’s not just the prayer itself, but your subconscious realising that this is something your mind/soul really wants, so your body sort of calms down and works with you instead of against you... Know what I mean? Anyway, great comment! God Bless 🙏🏼😊

After many years of making so much work for myself and looking like an idiot going to work with 1 nail broken and chewed....I FINALLY stopped! So, I hope you too are able to stop making so much work for yourself....it just sucks doing that non dominant hand!!! So glad you shared this!!! Your brave girl!! Love your videos! Its truly a serious nervous habit that starts young and stays. Probaby the most basic of soothing mechanism transformed from suckling to biting/chewing. I like most on here don't chew when I have a set of nails on. I started with gems along the cuticles first to hide bad cuticle work then realized the gem scraping my tooth was so nasty feeling it never happened again lol. Love your videos and even get quite a kick out of your humor. Loves from a fellow biter!

Omg girl! Thank you, I ruined my nails that used to be beautiful I’m 43 and now they’re as bad as your one thumb nail. So thank you. I don’t bite my nails but they hurt from the nail bed underneath does not have proper blood flow cause from a circulation problem called Raynauds my fingers get so cold I can’t feel my hands they hurt and my nails are so soft they hurt so I need a cover up fix. I used to use apple biter on my nails when I did bite them as a teen also I’ve learned we bite our nails it’s a nervous habit so maybe try to find a fix like why you are nervous or have anxiety. It’s good to ask questions and understand we all go threw things and don’t be ashamed. Thank you for helping me. 😂 you go girl I’m proud of you for doing this in front of tons of people you have a lot of guts and don’t say yuck or sorry anyone who judges you can go to another channel then.

Never thought you'd be a nail bitter, our nails take damage cause as techs we can try stuff out on ourselves and for you even more so doing so many videos, still surprised your nail damage comes from bitting tho !! I literally cannot run a cuticle bit on mine (i took a Russian manicure course so I'm not heavy-handed) let alone 3 different types of bit in the same area -sadly my nails are paper thin :(

When she went on vacation I did a set on her. But when she got back to work the nails did not last. I sculpted short coffin nails on her. Maybe I should try tips next time? I’m just newly licensed and this is my first nail biter. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for this video. My nails have been paper thin all my life due to health issues plus I too am a nail biter. . But what helped my hair and nails to grow really fast was taking 5000 mcg of Biotin per day. I can only do 2 - 3 fills and my natural nails have grown to the top of my acrylic nails (about the size of your almond nails you just put on.) 2) To prevent biting my natural nails, I trim and clean them up. Put a good gel base coat (even if not required) then 3 thin layers of gel nail polish and finished with a gel no wipe top coat. I don’t seem to bite my nails by doing that. Your finished nails beautiful.

I was really bad and my nails looked just like yours. what I did was I wore false nails or a gel set on my bitten nails and let it grow out for a few weeks. because they were pretty I didn't touch them. but then I'd remove them and give my nails a few days maybe 2-3days, to breath and to see if I can reduce the amount of time my nails were near my mouth. over a six month period this really worked. of course if my nails snap really low I will bite them because i hadn't in a long time and it was an instinct. but after the initial bite, I'd grab a file and shape them as best I could and redo them. I hope this helps, if you need me to explain a bit more, just reply ❤️ I love your vids, keep it up!

I was a terrible nail-biter all my life until my mid-20's - they were even worse than your before nails! To cure myself of the habit, I bit only my thumb nails over the course of many months and left the rest alone to grow and pamper. Yes, I had ugly thumbs for awhile, but I eventually got out of the habit of biting them too. My nails were long, strong and, may I say, quite lovely for many years. I was always very proud of them! Now that I'm in my mid-60's, they are starting to get ridges and break easily, unfortunately, but my little trick to stop biting my nails so many years ago really worked for me.

Hi Sarah, I too am a nail biter...since I was about four years old. I’ve had short periods of being able to stop biting them but nothing lasted. Now I wear false nails and that, because they are smooth, stops me. I’d use tips if .i could get them to adhere. However I have one piece of advice; I’m now 78 and until I was about 60 whenever I’d stop biting them the nail would grow out ok, but since it changed; even though I no longer bite them (except for a few nibbles if I don’t reapply the false nails quickly enough, lol) although the nail still grows, it does not adhere to the skin/fingertip underneath. That is disastrous since dirt gets under the false nail and trying to remove it causes even more non-adherence ...as it also would if even if I were wearing tips. So, stop biting before that happens to you...okay I was old when it happened to me, but I guess it could happen anytime if you were unlucky.

I’m a skin biter 😔 sometimes it gets so raw and sore from picking and pulling at the skin around the cuticle area of my nails, I’ve been doing it since I was a small child and the only time I don’t do it is when I have nails on. It’s such a relief to see my nails looking healthy and healed after having my nails done for a little while. I really enjoyed this video because it’s nice to know that there’s others out there who suffer from these types of annoying things including someone who has been a huge inspiration in my nail journey instead of acting like everything is perfect and you wouldn’t dare do anything extremely damaging to your natural nails 🤣 thanks! I love your videos so much!!!

I’m not sure if it would totally help, but I’ve heard that daith piercings are good for stress and anxiety. I’m getting mine done soon as they also help with migraines.

They are really nice colours. No idea on how to stop biting your nails though. When I was a child my mum used to put some horrible tasting "stop biting nails" on my nails and that seemed to work as I don't bite them anymore. Haven't seen it for ages though so don't know if you can still get it x 💓

Awesome job! Such pretty glitter colors! It is definitely a challenge working on the dominant hand with the non dominant hand. It takes me awhile to complete my dominant hand, glad to know I’m not the only one that struggles. Looking forward to seeing how your nails grow out and your new design with the length you prefer. 😉😁

To keep my nails out of my mouth I painted them. Every time there was a chip or worn edge, I redid them. But if i knew i was going into a stressful situation and would be picking at them, I applied a bunch of rhinestones loosely with topcoat on top of my manicure and then picked all those stones off instead of putting my fingers in my mouth. Then when I was home again I redid the manicure. Keeping the manicure pristine helped me to not want to mess it up by biting or picking.

Do you have or could you do and give information and a tutorial on the same/similar but with Gel? Just realized I wasn't subscribed to your channel so I made sure to "hit the bell" 😃! Thank you for this tutorial, its very helpful. I am still unable to use acrylic unless my fam isn't home because it causes them to have a migraine. So I'm still not in my zone with acrylic yet. I'm using gel all the time when I can play or health allows me to do a set on myself. You did an EXCELLENT JOB on your nails ESPICALLY because of the biting. Thank You so much!!!!!! Hope you had a Great Christmas and have a Blessed NEW YEAR TOO!!!!

They look great Sarah! The only suggestion I can make is Sally's Beauty Supply has a polish that has a really terrible taste (can't remember the name) that is supposed to deter biting.

My nails looked exactly like yours ( I actually bit my thumb nail OFF once, boy that hurt!) I started wearing nails and it did stop my biting habit. I continued getting my nails filled and eventually I quit biting them. Now I keep acrylic nails on just as extra support.

Thanks for being vulnerable and showing your bitten nails. I am a chronic nail biter also and the only thing that has helped me stop is having my nails done. Nothing else has worked. My nails are long now, but if they were bare I would bite them until the bled. So I always have my nails done.

Thanks for showing us you doing your dominant hand with your non-dominant hand! I am going to try holding my e-file that way. These look super cute!! Love all of the glitters you used. Do you know if there is a Glitterbells distributor in the USA? I would love a #10 brush. Can’t wait for your update!

Rebekka Venoy no I’m not licensed yet and you can actually buy LOTS without a license, besides a select few like ugly duckling that require a license! Some of my top faves for acrylic are mia secret, you can get it on amazon or their website, and Walmart.com! Inexpensive and great quality! Young Nails, which is only available on their website I believe, Kristy meakin Naio Nails, you can watch her channel if you’re interested! CJP. Glam And Glits (also very very inexpensive) also available on Walmart.com, amazon, their website and lots of other websites, All of these don’t require a license! My fave is CJP, then Young Nails, Mia Secret, then Naio in terms of beginners because their easy to work with. I’ve yet to try Glam and Glits but heard great things! Also drill bits you can get on Todac USA website for a good price and amazing quality. The efile I started with was one off of amazon until I splurged and bought a very high quality, but if you’re looking for a really good quality for an affordable price the best i have ever tried (and I’ve tried LOTS, affordable and expensive) is Madenia MD-304 is the best adorable one I have tried..and the Saeyang k35 & k38, and the Kupa passport mani pro are the best high end drills I’ve tried! Nailcou channel has a review on the Madenia on her channel if you’re interested! Sorry for the long response I just wished someone would have told me all this when I started, would have saved me a lot of money 😂

Luv your nails so pretty. I use to bite my nails to. Until i started nail school and worked on some of the worst nails out there. We had an instructer who was against wearing gloves. So i delt with poop under the nails. To nail infections, which i refused to work on. I could not wait to get out of there. I would come home and rewash my hands in antibacterial soap. Then dip my hands in peroxide and let them soak. Then rewash them. After that no more nail bitting for me.

Tianna S. What 🙀😳 what kind of person comes to get their nails done 💅🏻 with POOP 💩 under their nails??? OMG 😮 I would have HAD to say something and teach them to wash their hands EVERY-TIME she uses the bathroom 🚽!!! I hate to say it but I would have had to embarrass HER because Ohhhhh No No No I’m not doing that 😡 I would tell the instructor who doesn’t like wearing gloves to do HER nails !!!

Love watching this vid, definitely wouldn’t mind watching more if you created them. *I love the bit when you went off camera to file and shape your nail and when you cut to the next scene your hair went everywhere. Totally captured the real life hassle of when filing nails on a hot day*. 😂😂😂 Xx 💋

Im a nailtech and my nails look exactly the same if I dont have nails on. Lately ive been working out a lot. So long nails is possible at the gym, but its so much easier with short. So what I do now, is i use the short rounded tips från apres,.. apply then and then i cut them down so it looks like my own short nails.

Keep a nail file handy. Whenever you get the urge to bite, give them a little file and then keep your hands busy for a little bit after to try and take your mind off it. The filing will keep them short but that is only temporary while you are trying to kick the habit. I know it's not easy, I still have a little nibble but this definitely helps! I also try and keep my dominant hand a little shorter too. It stops them from lifting as fast and which gives me a little extra time to get the infill done before I rip them all off! The struggle is real! 🙏🏻

Gorgeous Manicure!! Awesome job, creating it with your non dominant hand. I always wondered how nail techs do their nails, creating with the non dominant hand & you showed it here, so thanks 😊😎 The brand Mavala it's a Swiss brand, it has a clear polish that helps prevent nail biting, creates strength & growth for natural nails. I have used another product that's for nail strength/growth, it's a small bottle. I purchase it from Ebay. I hope this helps!

I laughed so hard watching this. I’m exactly the same way. I took my nails off 3 weeks ago and have done nothing but chew them for those 3 weeks. I work in a salon not at home so at night when I finally have some alone time I don’t have my stuff to do them so I put it off longer and then they look uglier and uglier. AAAHHHHRRRGGGHHHHH the vicious cycle.
