Hi. I stumbled across your meditations one night when searching for Jack Kornfield. I have been finding my way through various types and got lucky. I'm 68yrs, teach English to teenagers and find balance with this practice. A common problem with long covid, ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, and other difficult conditions is that the sympathetic nervous system tends to get stuck in the on position. It can be such a challenge to relax. I find your yoga nidra body scans, your voice, your word choice, and your pacing (along with a heating pad) to be most helpful, Ally. Thank you so very much. ❤

Hi there :) have you tried the Gupta Program? It’s working wonders for me (suffering from MCAS & nervous system burnout) and my sister (long covid/cfs). It’s really worth a shot! They work a lot on the nervous system, in addition to their main focus on retraining the amygdala and others parts of the brain.

A wonderful journey through my body, exploring awareness within and all around. The guided visualization was beautiful, such a feeling of connection to nature and safety/contentment. I’m also really appreciating the alternate hemisphere breathing in my body. Nadi Shodhana breath has always been a favorite of mine; breathing from toes to head, crossing midline and down the other side of my body allowed me to feel as if my consciousness and breath were the same. Beautiful. Grateful 🙏🏽

Thank you for this much needed session. I was having full blown anxiety dealing with the horrific place my daughter is in. She is fighting ovarian cancer and she is so strong and brave. I sometimes feel like I’m in the twilight zone. Can’t believe it! This calming session helps me get through the day.❤

Wonderful, I use it every afternoon in place of a nap. The nap was enjoyable but I feel so much better and see a definite increase in energy with the yoga nidra, I am grateful.

Wonderful journey with you this morning waking at 4:30 cocooned in warm blankets. The alternate breathing of the right and left hemispheres was amazing. I feel deep relaxation and peace, and at the same time a stretching of the boundaries of body awareness. Thank you again. Namaste.

Loved this one. I found the switching breathing from left to right hemispheres to be a bit challenging at first, but it seems good for my poor struggling brain after coming off antidepressants. Feels like healthy rewiring and activation occurring... and nervous system settling a little. Thank you, Ally, from Canada.

Hi, I just started practicing yoga nidra with you, however I noticed I experience a lot of chills during the sensing, what do you think this means?

The body cools down quite a bit as you go into the parasympathetic nervous system and deeper brainwave states... do you cozy yourself up in warm clothes, socks and blankest?

I don't think that's the case! You might just need to add even more warmth, blankets, etc! Your body is definitely meant to cool down quite a bit. That's completely normal!

Thank you for all these wonderful yoga nidra videos Ally 🙏🏻✨ I have a request for a yoga nidra for people in a state of burn out ❤️‍🔥. I experience this quite regularly and I try to be aware of the signs. It seems at that moment my nervous system just collapses and everything is disregulated. I find my balance ⚖️ after a few days without stimulation and resting alot. But during this time I have no strength and no motivation. I would like to have a yoga nidra to support during this time. This leaves me with a peacefull/blissfull smile on my face while I started this practice somewhat uneasy, thank you I start to notice that everytime after the journey through the body, when the focus shifts to a whole half of the body and later the whole body, I feel a calmness and kind of Joy. I am quite anxious because I’ve been exposed to BA 5 omicron. Manage to avoid Covid for the last 2 years & don’t want it now, or ever. Hoping yoga Nidra gives a boost to my innate immune system! Thank you, Ally!

I have been practicing Yoga Nidra with you for a few months now. The meditations are so very effective and calming. I tend to be anxious and now I do short breathing and scans when I want/need to release tension. Thank you so much. It works so simply and concisely, .I have been telling other stressed out foljs about you and they too love it.
