I meant to publish this video sooner, but my internet the past few weeks traveling wasn't the best. So here's one more Japan video... this place serves really an outstanding dish - I was blown away by the quality and freshness. Thanks for watching!

2:18 ”zeitaku" means luxurious, and "don" means bowl, so it's luxurious bowl. And each bowl has a name. From the left, "Ume" is plum or Japanese apricot, "Take" is bamboo, and "Matsu" is pine tree. FYI when we put three different grades in a thing, we use those words: 梅 Ume, 竹 Take, and 松 Matsu. ”Take” always comes in the middle, but regarding ”Ume" and "Matsu", it depends on the grader, which one is higher and better. But usually it comes in this order: Matsu > Take > Ume REPLY

I'd like to say I absolutely love everything Mark publishes on his channels, social media and his blog. It always makes my day better seeing a notification that new content has been uploaded! Having multiple sclerosis its difficult for me to travel, try new food and experience the wonderful cultures around the globe, but seeing your videos and your amazing outlook on life makes me feel like I'm right there experiencing it too. So, thank you! As a side note, I'd love to hear Ying's input on some of the dishes too.

Hi Mark I used to live in Japan for 5 years and all your videos really bring good memories I wanna go back! Since I know that you always try to appreciate not just the food but also the people and the culture and I'm sure that you'll be coming back to Japan again, just fyi, it's better to say arigatou gozaimasu to be more polite when you talk to strangers. Arigatou is usually used when talking to small kids or close friends. Love from Indonesia

Shivam Vaid I don't think so. I mean yes, I DO agreed that Ying is lucky to have Mark and the baby and travel, has good food, but Thai ladies don't hate cooking that much. I believe she does cook good food at home for her family. If we don't cook, a part of our lives disappear.
