Good stuff shades. I always learn something new watching your vida. I somehow got very lucky. When I went to the doctor after I quit she immediately did blood work. It came back so good that she said if I didn't have my wife there as a witness to how much I drank and for how long that she would have thought that i was lying. I was like why would I lie about this lol. It's also a small island and she saw me in town on more than one occasion absolutely trashed. Great stuff man. Keep em coming.

Thanks, Ron. I appreciate the view and the comment. It's weird who gets hit with it and who doesn't. The kid I mention in the video, his mother died of cirrhosis. She was exactly 20 years older when she passed. Twenty-six is very young for this to happen. I think that it's a roll of the dice and a game you don't want to play. My old man watched a few of L.D.'s videos and said, "I was really worried you were going to end up with cirrhosis." There was damage. It might have been fatty liver. They only did an ultrasound and no biopsy. I am fortunate.

I've heard a lot on your videos about admitting yourself to hospital and asking for a detox or an intensive outpatient detox. That's something we don't have in the UK. We might have free healthcare for the most part, but you have, seemingly, more accessible treatment in the short term. Have I got this wrong? Please enlighten me if I've got confused.

I recently watched a video on Steven Alcohol Free Lifestyle. He's in the UK somewhere. He either went to the hospital or his GP and said they wouldn't give him diazepam (Valium) for withdrawal. I think I asked him and he said the same thing. He said he couldn't afford treatment. I am not sure how he got sober but he did. It is different here in the US.
