Alright, so apparently, this is not as hard as I thought it was. You guys are beasts!!! Should I change the title? Haha, I set too high a standard with the previous 15-minute killer core workout. I promise to do one harder than that one! Also, for the record, if it is too easy for you, use ankle weights or really go hard. If I were watching you, I am sure it would be extremely hard to complete. Do not make it easy on yourself!

Yehh your 15-minute killer core work out was much more effective given the length and range of workouts. Thank you though. I really needed a new challenge. This can be a good warm up for that one though. Im glad we both hate v-ups

The 15 min core workout was MUCH harder than this one but I think that you should change to title to WARM UP CORE for Beginners. That being said: you move mountains every time you post a video.

Damn it 😅 nothing quite beat quite that 15min one. Probably if this one was 15min and not 10 lol. I still would argue that if I was watching your form on every exercise you would have a hard time finishing it. If you can complete this easily, you should know how to make it a challenge for yourself. Do that! I’ll work on the actual hardest core workout 🥲 -Gabo

Hey Gabo, just wanted to let you know that I've been doing your core workouts for three years averaging three days a week. I began with the 15-minute killer routine, then moved on to the 10-minute workout (the one you do with your girlfriend), and today I started this new one. Gotta say, you always surprise me! I couldn't do all the exercises in the advanced form, but I'll keep working at it. Thanks for the great workouts!

No need for a video mate :) 1. Genetics and 15 years of training. 2. Dips, overhead pressing, push ups, and tricep extensions as the base. 3. V-Sit and front lever training probably helped too.

A good series of exhausting exercises. Good to remember and to repeat, even doing the 10' twice. But the "Hardest Core Workout You've Ever Done"? If would try the progressions, I'd fail in keeping up form. So probably yes. Having a "low" regressions in V-Shape High-Boat-Pose, not really. But thanks for the ideas for my Monday Yoga and Core Day!

I'm quite skeptical of these types of workouts. The short/no rest times has a negative impact on your performance on every exercise. Regardless of whether the goal is hypertrophy or stability you want the muscles in question to be the limiting factor, not your aerobic fitness. I guess it is an efficient way of getting a lot of work in if you only have 10 minutes, but it's just far from an optimal ab workout.
@SaturnoMovement
@SaturnoMovement Ай бұрын
Agree and not. My limiting factor on these is never my aerobic capacity, and I don’t even jog lol the limiting factor is always muscular, and when that happens, a short break and continue is all that’s needed to put your muscles back into enough tension to grow. Optiomal for ab develoment: these workouts will never come close to properly progressive overload like any other muscle. -Gabo
@fshiu
@fshiu Ай бұрын
Agreed, why not just do some weighted decline situps / weighted cable crunches etc in a moderate rep range (e.g. 3 sets of 8-12) with proper rest times and progressively overload
@SaturnoMovement
@SaturnoMovement Ай бұрын
@@fshiu that’s probably ideal :) this is for those who simply want a quick -yet, still effective- workout. I am all for proper strength training as you mentioned. -Gabo
@noone-ld7pt
@noone-ld7pt Ай бұрын
@@SaturnoMovement Thanks for taking the time to respond! However I can guarantee that if you do all the same exercises with as much rest as you want in between your muscles will be able to sustain more work and accumlate more stimulus. When the pulse is significantly elevated (as it would be for the vast majority of people doing 10 minutes of continous training) aerobic or even anaerobic fitness will always be *a* limiting factor (I made a mistake in saying *the* limiting factor, suggesting it's the only one). But though the muscle itself definitely fail first, like you suggest, it will fail earlier than it could have because of the limited access to oxygen. Glad we agree on progressive overload being optimal for hypertrophy though. But I would suggest that even if the goal is core stability that time would be better spent strengthening the specific positions in question. And if the goal is just general adaptable fitness then I don't see why one would do only abs. In my opinion these high intensity and specific muscle focused workouts doesn't really serve any particular goal very well. We should be asking ourselves what are our goals and work specifically towards those, not just doing general ab workouts that are made arbitrarily harder by short rest times. It's basically just the SAID principle (Specific adaptation to imposed demands). These workouts do have a place for people who are extremely limited by time, but I'd argue that the vast majority will be better served doing a 20-30 minute workout with proper rest and clear meassurable goals. Again thanks for answering, always appreciate creators who take the time to discuss with their fans!
