The healthiest way to cook sweet potato, or anything really, it's either boiling, steaming or microwave. Especially microwaving and steaming, resulting in the least amount of nutrient loss and degradation. Dry cooking (roasting, grilling) and frying result in polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are carcinogenic. Dry heat, frying, and length of cooking affect free radical formation and nutrient degradation. I've taken to heavily relying on my microwave to par cook or cook everything to minimize cook time. Bonus: Olive oil (or EVOO) doesn't meaningfuly create free radicals and PAHs in the microwave until about 4 minutes. So if I want some crispy chickpeas, I'll throw a handful into the microwave in a bowl for 2 minutes, then toss with olive oil and seasoning and hit it for another 2-4 minutes, depending on how crispy I want them. Perfect chickpeas every time. Works with other starchy veggies, too.

The rant against Samsung ovens was delightful; I know repairpersons who refuse to service Samsung and LG because the focus on tech over performance creates a low quality product. As for the recipe, no matter whether you find BJ inspiring or spooky, it's a practical whole food meal that anyone who eats fruits, veggies, and beans can make and enjoy. People complain about how expensive fresh produce is, which is valid, but I'd love to try it, though I'd use pinto beans. Thanks for posting!

Dr. Greger has shown the evidence that says No Olive Oil is actually better than Olive Oil, while Bryan Jonson still advocates it. He can be on the fringe side though and just experiment on himself since he has a team of scientists constantly testing him. Sometimes he finds things that don't work. Also, he showed all his markers of aging and he was number two in the world, while number 1 was a vegan lady who spends like $30 a month on supplements versus Bryan's 2 million a year.

I never expected a video like this from you, Honestly, I’m excited, Thank you! No salt!? Amazing! By the way the lethal dose of sodium bicarbonate is around 12g per kilogram of body weight, compared to sodium chloride 🧂 3 g per kilo of body weight, this is a miraculous finding, it points to the fact that it’s not sodium that’s the most dangerous component, it’s the chloride!!! Anyways you’ll feel MUCH better without salt, and look better. My dream is to see salt free restaurants. Trust me, salt is an intimacy killer, the feeling of being dehydrated really makes a woman dry in the bedroom and prevents a man from feeling fresh, Try mixing sumac, smoked paprika, tomato paste and lemon juice for a very salty sauce!!! First of all, I agree with all the comments about using the microwave ... why heat up that giant, slow-heating oven? I also have one of those Samsung ovens and the ONLY times I use it are if I have several things that need to be roasted ... like at least two sheet pans full of veg, or if I'm baking something like muffins, etc. Otherwise I love my toaster oven for things like sweet potatoes, because I can cut them in half and roast them so they become carmelized and extra sweet. Also, if you don't already have an Instant Pot, you might consider one. I make chickpeas in the Instant Pot at least once a week (we eat a lot of hummus) and it is simple, fast and cheap!

I had a Samsung fridge freezer fail on me at just over 2 years old. Just stopped kicking in the motor when the temperature got up plus never sounded the alarm. Also continually iced up the drain and you have to take the inner back panel off and disconnect a fan motor to clear it. I don't know why it was getting so much water in the first place. Found a manual that seemed to indicate it's designed to run in ambient temperature of 25C minimum. Lol. In N Germany it's too cold and probably too humid for it. I bought a huge Polish chest freezer that can run in down to -15C and cost half what the stupid Samsung did. The Samsung microwave/smart oven has been good though (so far... 2 years old now...)

no, sadly i won’t be „thanking you later“. if you don‘t want any nutritional benefits you can do that. google the microwave experiment when people water two plants, one with regular water, one with microwaved water (cooled down) => the fact is plant‘s don‘t recognize water s water any longer the entire molecular structure changed and you can bet the same happens to us, our buddies won‘t recognize water or food as such any longer as their structure changed due to how microwaves literally heats up food by speeding up their molecules … do yourself a favor and research. if uyou just need food to fill your belly, go ahead, but don‘t think it‘s adding any health benefits…

@NyannycakeАй бұрын
I can't speak for the sheets themselves, but depending on the sturdiness of them, they might last significantly longer than typical bed sheets. At least here in the USA, we don't have the infrastructure to recycle bed sheets. They simply get thrown away into the landfill with regular trash. Even most "recycling" programs in my state discard everything into the same landfills unless it's an aluminum can or glass bottle. So perhaps these fancy bed sheets last longer and might be a lifetime product. I'm not really sure though, I'm just assuming. It's definitely not something the average person can afford, but it might be a nice quality splurge item for folks if it lasts a long time.
