I am 42 and I could literally overdose on nostalgia. The 90's was the last decade where there was still an innocence to life. They had the best movies, tv, and music. I sometimes sit and just close my eyes and go back to this time on my mind...just immersing myself in all the memories. I cry a lot just yearning for those days that I can never get back. The world is such a 💩show today and I just wish I could be a kid again. Just wanting to relive all those precious times 😢. I thank God for KZbin...one of the only online platforms I really look at. Songs like this are reminders of the fact that music indeed peaked in the second half of the 20th century. Singers were not celebrities. They were famous for having a "one in a million" type of talent and the focus was on their music instead of their private lives. They could get on stage any time anywhere and could sing live. Older songs provided so much more variety sonically. Even the tiniest background sounds were carefully crafted for the sake of quality over quantity. There is not much novelty these days, a lot of songs are cover songs or based on recycling successful samples. I remember how we thought in the 90s that the new millennium would certainly bring so much advancement. Now we look back and realize we were living in a golden era when we mistakenly thought we had something way better ahead of us.

I feel the same for Japanese music. Some of my all-time favorite artists are Japanese (L'Arc-en-Ciel, Aiko, Ajikan, Yui, Sukima Switch, etc.) I may not understand the lyrics unless I Google them, but the music, artistry, and the Japanese words make me feel different things such as sadness, joy, and nostalgia. ❤

Wow, my mom was not lying when she said they had better pop music in the '90s. XD

Nope. Your mom wasn't lying. Neither was her mom when she said the same thing about the 80's and her mom when she said the same thing about the 70's. Five hundred years from now, your descendant will be telling her daughter that there was so much better music in the 24 century.

I remember this song and music video was so popular during the late 90s. Every Saturday morning if this was played either radio or on tv we danced along with it. Happy 90s memories.

This whole video screams early 2000 and everything in this time period was simply magnificent... life in much simpler and easier times. I love that late 90s/00s era for everything. Sport, movies, wrestling, life in general, being a kid and of course music like this. Man I miss these times we all grow up way too fast :(

Best time ever! Especially when 9/11 happened and this country came together and politics didn't matter. Fashion was great and fresh and music was at its best
