Great video! I love that you mentioned that a plant can get root rot from underwatering!!! I used to let my snake plants go to critical dry, and the day after finally watering I would get a soggy leaf! It makes so much sense that if the roots dry to brittle, they can't absorb water. I've had ZZ bulbs look shriveled when I repot. Duh. Thank you so much!!!🪴💚🪴

Same! My snake plant has droopy leaves and everywhere I look it says it's because of overwatering, but I didn't water it for months so it can't be it. They don't just live on air. They need water at some point.

Great video. I have 5 snake plants. I will be checking for dehydration tomorrow morning. Possibly going to change all to terracotta pots as well. I name all my plants, so Sliver, Calliope, Orion, Keanu, and Dusa will be having a full spa day. 🥰

What happens when the leaves just pull straight out of the plant or just fall out and then the leaves feel all slimey and watery? Is this due to me over watering the snake plant? Edit: I had no idea root rot could also happen if I didn't water it enough. I would let it get bone dry before watering it thoroughly and then leaving them outside to drain (where I live it doesn't get too cold at night And they seem to like being in the sun sometimes). They always seem so much happier after I do that, but over time the leaves started full on falling out. A lot of them were slimey and just completely falling apart. I'm not sure how to save them at this point.

I have a very nice 4 foot tall snake plant in my home. I had not watered it honestly in months since winter hit, and suddenly it just started leaning over one leaf at a time… and they were wet at the bottom like I had been overwatering it. What the heck is that about?
