Ya one of the fun parts about the SAW movies is, the characters in the traps kindoff deserve it at a certain point I feel the worst traps/movies where ones where the people in the traps make you feel like they shouldnt be in there

I just finished the movie about a half hour ago and I really appreciated the traps being winnable again I think that’s the main denominator between this and recent saw films. I was rooting for John the entire film and I think that’s so satisfying and a refreshing change. Great film overall.

I saw this movie last night and it was a lot better than initially expected it to be. I think making John Kramer the protagonist was a nice choice for the film. I'll admit the twist isn't as memorable as the first two films, but the end credits makes up for it and I'm hoping to see more films like this one. Who would have thought that the director from Saw 6 and Saw 7 and the writers from Jigsaw and Spiral gave us this amazing film. I guess third time really is the charm

I still can't believe how big the payoff here was. If they're gonna move forward with more sequels, I hope it's the same filmmaking team. Tobin Bell absolutely rocked it, and I especially loved the first half hour of his story. I think it gave the movie an emotional pulse, which I wasn't expecting.

Honestly I would much rather have some more prequel stuff maybe even before the first saw movie. Tobin is such an incredible actor, I knew I always wanted more John Kramer but I never knew how incredible it would be when we got it. I really hope they capitalize on Tobin still wanting do explore this character while he can. This movie was absolute gold in my eyes.

Just finished watching it and i gotta tell you man i loved it! Salute to Tobin Bell for even filming another Saw movie at his age! 81 years old and still going strong. Truly gonna miss him when he's gone! Giving him his flowers now! The legenddd! I loved the twist in this movie and it was pretty cool seeing John Kramer himself in his own trap for the first time! I already knew he had everything planned from start to finish. You CANNOT out plan John Kramer! He is the masterminddd! Cecilia thought she had it all figured out...HA! It was extremely predictable. We had seen a similar twist in Saw 5 already. The blood trap posed no danger to the participants: all they had to do was switch places in 10s intervals and it would barely even count as a nuisance. We also knew John was never in any danger. The main antagonist didn't get her comeuppance and it again makes no sense that she'd be able to overpower her partner (before she armed herself). It's not just a "it wasn't mind-blowing". And "no twist" is better than a bad one.

I just saw the movie. Here are my thoughts: - Great to see traps that you can survive. - The story was compelling. - The ending / last 10 mins was anticlimactic. Spoiler Thoughts: - The young kid could be a future Jigsaw. Think about it, SAW X was set in early 2000’s which means this kid is now in his 30’s. We need him to be the next Jigsaw. This sets things up perfectly.

This movie was the best saw movie since saw 2. It was actually pretty good with some good/great traps, rooting for jigsaw in a good way since these ppl are disgusting, some good gore, elaborates more on why Amanda would do unwinnable traps, gives more perspective that Amanda wasn’t fully ready even sympathizing with Gabriella , Jigsaw being the main focus, and the setting of Mexico. I would give it a 8/10 one of the best horror movies of 2023 and I liked the after credits scene as well. We know who jigsaw was talking to when he said detective.

About the sequel From what I understand, if this one does well, the plan for Saw 11 is to set it between 2 and 3, with main focus this time being on Amanda with John being side character (basicaly just reversed roles from X)

It's wild that the 10th movie in the saw franchise is the first to get a fresh critic score... and it might become certified fresh? Like, what??? I'm gonna be seeing it tonight. I can't wait. To add to all of this, the second highest critic rated movie in the saw franchise is the first Saw movie, which only got a 50%. Critics notoriously dislike the Saw franchise, so the fact that Saw X has an 87% is wild.

One thing people usually forget is that John isn't that much of a monster in the grand scheme of things. Yeah, he started all of it and created insane, cruel traps, but his apprentices are the ones who broke the rules over and over again after Saw 3 (making unwinnable traps and picking weird subjects). So even if this humanizes John... it's not so hard to root for him, all things considered.

Sequel Idea: Remember how each movie had a child? What if each child grew up to become a Jigsaw acolyte? Here are the following: Saw: Diana Saw II: Daniel Saw III: Corbett Saw IV: Jane Saw VI: Brent Saw X: Carlos And because the later “sequels” are presumably set during a long time-skip they would temporarily team up with the other “students of Jigsaw”: Jigsaw: Logan Spiral: William Time has passed so the “kids” will be around the same age as the others or roughly in the similar ballpark. And Dr. Gordon (Saw 3D) would be overseeing and/or testing them to see who will come out on top to ensure Jigsaw’s legacy. I would also throw in Bobby (Saw 3D) who is on a path of revenge against anyone associated with Jigsaw. Also, why not throw in Cecilia (Saw X) because she’s still alive and we’re through with her yet. The title would either be called “Saw Legacy” or “Children of Saw”. It’s a way to bring EVERYTHING together. If not a movie then maybe a TV miniseries. Thoughts?

I thought the movie was pretty good . I kinda enjoyed the slow build to the actual trap portions of the story and made John sympathetic (of course not all the way but for this story it works). The only nitpicks are things that happens towards the end (which is probably better to "look over" and just enjoy it for what it is)

So I’m one of the Saw movies John goes to his insurance company and talks to the owner. Who is the focus of that movie. John tells him about an experimental treatment. But it’s in Mexico. This one takes place in Spain I think. But not Mexico. So is this another treatment or did they mess it up??

I loved the movie! It’s definitely the best Saw movie since Saw 6. It made me excited to see what’s next for the franchise- hopefully more Tobin Bell! All the traps were great and I loved the classic Hello Zepp playing at the end.
