I bought a lot of glutinous rice flour a while ago, but I later realized that I don't know what to make with it except for mochi 😅 Since I love peanuts and sesame, I can't wait to try these.
@WoonHeng3 жыл бұрын
hehe, you can use the flour for a lot of yummy food. Will be sharing one more this weekend. :-)

Oh my! This is one of my favorite 😍 I used to buy sesame balls at Chinatown in NY, watch them fry using long chopsticks pressed it against the wok and pop up like a big orange and the crust are very very thin, eat it right there. Since I moved away can’t find thin crust sesame balls anywhere yet. I have the recipe for over 20 years but never try to make it. I don’t like to work with the dough, but now I am gonna try because you make it look easy even your steam noodles I haven’t try to make it yet. Thank you 🙏 so much for sharing a lot of delicious foods.

yay, I hope you like this one. I bet your recipe from 20 years ago will be so awesome. The dough is not that hard, hope this video provides a good visual to give you more confident to make it. :-)

I used to eat these all the time when so lived in NYC as a bike messenger in Chinatown too!!!! They are so amazing. One of the best things I’ve ever tasted. I feel so grateful to have lived in NYC and got to eat real Asain food instead of Americanized Chinese restaurant things.

Hi, love your Jian Dui's recipe. In fact, Jian Dui is one of my favourite childhood snacks whereby my grandma was an expert in making them. By the way, may i know how to keep Jian Dui's crispiness last longer hours?

Omg!! This is my grandma's favorite snack! This looks sooo good 😍 they usually use mung beans paste or red beans paste in Indonesia. Where i live it's called Onde Jawa 😂
@WoonHeng3 жыл бұрын
nom nom, love the red bean paste and mung bean paste too, Jess. Thanks for sharing the name too. In Malaysia, when we say onde onde, it's the non-fried version rolled in coconut.

can i make a version of this that's savory? I've been craving this for a long time ,but I dont like sweet things. Would this work if i added, say, mung bean paste without sugar, spiced with red bean paste instead? or would mung bean paste fall apart without sugar?
@WoonHeng3 жыл бұрын
the paste will hold together if you add some melted butter. but the skin will need sugar.

Honey is not Vegan and not Bee friendly. Please use plant based products e.g. Agave syrup which is better for all. 🙏🐝🐝🌏
