Yes but it's also not fair to expect the mother to have a reaction she has no control over. The mother can, and did, be supportive, but crying at a dress is an involuntary response. Boys in high school always tried to generate rivalry between my sister and I, even girls too, inviting just me to their birthdays cause I wasn''t "the pretty one". I never went to those, and our friedship with my sister was always the most important thing, for us both, thanks to my parents. I'm not sure that there's always a favourite child, we're all different and parents should be able to work on appreciating the different traits in their kids. We're 3 sisters too, and teachers would always compare us, boys would say my sis was the pretty one and I wasn't, etc. and specially through teenage years parents should help their children see how that's just a stupid game and that the bond between sisters can be beautiful!!

She is extremely close to my Mum & is now her full time carer as Mum is now wheelchair bound. The 3 of them have the same opinions, some hobbies & interests in common, whereas I don't... I totally understand, being a middle child myself, but glad she finally found out the secret of BEING a middle child. You don't have to compete when you are comfortable in your own person.

I’m sorry but there was *NOTHING wrong with the first dress!* It was flattering & had the right amount of bling. She should’ve never brought back her family the second time 🤦🏼♂️

Man I'm so grateful for my family!! And also for MYSELF. I'd love my fam to be onboard with my dress, but ultimately I know I want to pick something that I myself feel amazing in. It's hard work to understand how people pleasing works in our own minds, it's different for everybody, but it's worth it to work on it and feel confident that you know better than anybody else and that your decisions should't be based in other people's reactions to them.

It literally has nothing to do with trying to outdo your sister. I have two older sisters that got married before me and if you asked all of us who's wedding dress was the best we would all say our own dress

I understand fully the middle child syndrome. For my wedding, my mom and sisters didn't seem to give a damn about what I wanted. Me and my husband went to the courthouse because I couldn't stand it anymore and they were ruining everything. But my mom just loved shopping for my baby sisters dress! Had a grand ole time, "It's her day." Even had two fucking ceremonies for her. I could go on and on.. it's a shame.

I’m so sorry… It makes me angry that you’re so angry 😡 My sister in law is the middle child, and in HER case, from what I have always observed, she’s emphasizing the fact that she is the middle child, and seems to always act like she wants and needs the attention…. She is truly a wonderful person, and I love her so much❤❤ I feel badly, because my husband is the platinum child, my other sister in law is the golden child, and she sees herself as the black sheep of the family… she is sometimes left out of things , not in a vicious way at all, but it is sometimes hard for my in-laws to deal with drama … There is no fighting or harsh things said to her… she is no doubt loved, but she definitely has obvious insecurities, and this reflects in everything that she does. I hope that things will get better for you… I hope that your family will see that it hurts you, and that they should try to pay more attention to that❤❤

Mom... Staaahp saying it's because of her size. It's because she's needed your approval for her entire life and hasn't ever received it. "Her size gave her an extra dose of middle child syndrome." No. You did that. "She's had trouble finding the right dress because of her size." No, it's because you don't react to her. She doesn't need to beat her sister. She doesn't need a dress that's slimmer. She needs you. Your love and validation. For you to stop comparing your daughter to her older sister, for you to stop commenting about her size and start commenting about every positive trait you've ever noticed in her.

If she was the same size as her sister I could see her competing but some dress does not look great on plus sizes. Mom cried so that she can get the hell out of there and go home. I am glad she finally made a decision because that dress did look great on her.

Big girls need to go to Curvey Brides in the UK, they are great fitting big women and have a great selection of designs specifically for big women..this store doesn't have really nice designs for larger bodies.

This is an old episode seeing houw the arrangement of the store is different and how Randy's hair still has color. The recent episodes of the show has more options for plus size brides unlike here and was mentioned before in one of the old clips of the same season that it was limited as there were only a few designers that accomodated for the needs of larger brides. Now there are more designers who accomodate brides of different sizes
@catladyfromky41422 жыл бұрын
Curvy Brides didn’t exist when this episode aired. Since then, though, there are tons of designers and shops here in the US that cater just to big girls.
