And he fought Kylo to protect her. TLJ was not about him learning “war is bad”. Of course he already knows that. It was about learning that neutrality is bad. Rose is the angel and DJ the code breaker is the devil. And by the end, he officially becomes a rebel.

Thematically I agree that there is a distinction, but the arc is paced and structured in too similar a way. He begins each story motivated to specifically escape(he directly states his desire to run at the start of each film) his current situation and ends up choosing to stay on the behalf of an individual (Rey) or the Rebels as a whole. The repetition is what bothered me on a film watching level. He starts each story wanting to avoid conflict then ends each film believing in something beyond himself and no longer running (attacking Kylo, charging the walker in the speeder)

Y'know what video game has weirdly incredible looking water? Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, yes the car one. Splashing into a body of water actually looks incredible, and I remember being blown away by it when the game first released. You even get water splashed onto the camera, a nice gentle lil fourth wall break that further immerses you in the stunning water physics you drive that jank contraption you attempt to justify as a "boat" through.
