All of the information that you presented here has been available for quite some time, Brad. Yet I wonder how few people would have been exposed to it were it not for persons such as yourself and Mr. Harvey. Please keep this series going! Thanks!

I've always been fascinated by place names and their origins. Sedona is now one of my favorites. Imagine, one of the most beautiful places in this country being named after a family outcast. Once again, thank you and Mr. Harvey for a delightful tidbit of education.

Engineers, Scientist, Medical researchers, Inventors, and other types of researchers are all dreamers. What would we do if there never were dreamers??????

Exactly. We must have the dreamers. I'm a dreamer too. :)

Secret: (I'm a dreamer, problem solver, and a doer and still am in my 80s. -can't help it And most of the Family are also dreamers. Some engineering and some artistic and some thinking trying to solve problems. It is just fun for us. Its addictive.)@@BradDison

Lived in Snotsdale Aridzona for about 20 years and Sedona was a frequent day trip. Now, 20+ years after I left for the tropics, I learn Sedona's origin story. THANKS 👊🏻

😂😂😂😂😂😂"My brain won't allow me to pronounce Schnebly correctly". I love all the detail you find on people's lives. So sad about their five year old little girl. I couldn't imagine a more beautiful name for such a beautiful place. As for the arches, I'm glad McDonald's adopted that beautiful turquoise. No, I've never been, which is kind of sad, as I live so close in California.
@BradDison9 ай бұрын
I worked and worked on the pronunciation of Schnebly. I turned the camera on and it just wouldn't work. hahaha. I'm only human. I have a 4-year-old son. After learning about their little girl I gave him a big hug. I just couldn't imagine. I haven't been to Sedona since I was 10 or so. I want to go back. :)
@2puffs7709 ай бұрын
@@BradDison We love that you're human, not a machine. Next time, if you ever have to say that name again, keep thinking "incredibly Schnebly". Rhyming is very helpful!

I visited friends in Sedona in 1978 when it was a few houses on a few dirt roads. I was of course blown away by the glorious majesty of the place, and knew that in 20 years or so it would be just what it is today--taken over by commercialism & exploited for its beauty and magic. What a place tho. I learned the story of Sedona's name back then. So cool.
