I absolutely love the second story the idea of humanity going in so many directions still fairly fractured but the moment some dumbass thinks they can try and take advantage of our individualism they suddenly hit the wall of our community because we are all human and if you ain’t then don’t you dare step in the middle of our business because then we have just one target that isn’t us.

First story was funny as hell... I'm guessing that the ship is going wreck shit in the Imperium's homeworld, either one, 1. Ramming the planet and destroying the Imperium's homeworld, or option two, 2. It slows down, and promptly proceeds to wreck every single Imperial armada in the system until the Imperium either run out of ships to send, or it finally gets destroyed by the Imperium who've suffer a devastating pyrrhic victory that they can no longer wage war. Wish there was a sequel to that story. WE MUST KNOW!!

@@wojo44frompl Thudmeiser is a guy who modded the AI for the OG Dawn of War games to a difficulty level matching good human players (back in like 2005!) and his work is in quite a lot of the popular big mods. He was subsequently hired for DoW2 (and then kinda led the unification mod drive with the other disillusioned Devs and modders afterwards). Basically the game AI would go even harder in this story - and Purge in the Emperor's name with righteous fury!

I downloaded so many mods my skyrim game became unplayable. at best you get no more than 10 fps, and if you close the game (or crash) then your save gets instantly corrupted, also apparently my mod loader is also corrupted, the entire game is corrupted. I asked a friend of mine if he could fix it up a bit for me and he started crying and screaming in terror and confusion.

Without a crew on board to worry about G-forces that ship could pull some CRAZY maneuvers! It could in theory also take much more of a beating in some sections than would otherwise be safe because again, no living crew to be concerned about. Although if it needs to retreat for more ammunition and fuel allied depots are going to be incredibly confused if they aren't informed that they've got a sentient AI controlling a ship when no crew responds to hails or the AI responds with pre-selected Skyrim NPC responses.

In real life, the military maintains a separate network for computers that control actual military hardware. You're not supposed to put civilian software or connect the military network to civilian networks precisely so that malware on civilian nets don't infect military systems. In this future of a warship being taken over by a sentient game AI, either this basic security principal was done away with, or some moron decided to violate basic security regs to upload their game onto what should have been a secure system. And given how humans are, it's a 50/50 chance which one is actually true.
