Interesting news about the bird footprints found in Wonthaggi for me. I lived there for about a year between 2018 and 2019 and it's a lovely place near Bass Strait. A lot of wildlife including wallabies, wombats and there's some old coal mines on teh edge of town as well.

Revelation is a book written about a future event... science has yet to prove it wrong! And science also has not proven the bible wrong about creation... they have a theory, big bang, evolution etc... but they have yet to PROVE anything about creation jwst is making the big bang incorrect and evolution doesn't explain where the first life came from only an attempt to explain the diversity of life. Sounds like the same thing except it was created for a purpose. Science says life including man evolved from the earth. Life and man just happened. God said he created all living things meaning life. God said he created man from the earth and breathed life into him. God said he created man to have dominion over all the earth and all living things. Again purpose. Science only claims to have discover or realized an understanding of Gods creation. In the bible God speaks to man and tells him of the planets. There positioning their movement their meaning. God tells of the cycle of air and water and clouds. Gods tells of the different processes of weather, environment, seen and unseen forces. God tells man of these things their reason their meaning. It is told to man in simple terms. Science only discovered these things as true and then tries to explain them using complex language.

@@kevinneufeld5497 That is a debatable statement. Yes, there will be a new heavens and new earth, but there is disagreement about what it means that the old ones will "pass away." Many theologians believe it is a transformation renewal rather than a complete dissolution/disappearance of the old and a complete re-creation from scratch. There are several passages in scripture that say the earth will never be dissolved/destroyed. On the one hand Israel is promised that they will dwell in the land forever. This could not happen if the earth were destroyed. A couple of passages state that the earth abides forever. This is a topic that is debated by Bible teachers and scholars.

There are thousands of cases the "experts" determined that a person will never walk, pull out of a comma, live but where wrong. 15:50 I can state for Sweden, the number of people in Christian denominations is c. 60 %, BUT the largest, the Lutheran former state Church, is very dechristianised, and no surprise, another source, a survey rather than a statistic of membership this time, reveals 24 % identify as Christians as believing, and say that is important to them. I was actually agreeably surprised they were so many, but then Malmö where I am from is arguably one of the more dechristianised cities of all the country (I suppose both Stockholm and Gothernburg are less dechristianised). I assess Finland as somewhat less dechristianised than Sweden, could be wrong, could be a question of a decades old info no longer really true any more (like Austria and Ireland), but if Sweden has 24 % Christians, perhaps Finland has 34 %, hardly 44.

So I look a quick look at the paper and, if I understood it correctly, they weren't trying to identify a comprehensive list of specific causes (though they gave some outcome examples) but rather specific directional trends (the evolutionary traps) over which we as a species may have some control. So they wouldn't list the Carrington event but they would include under global traps "increasing specialization produces simplified subsystems that are especially vulnerable to shocks". As the authors point out, these traps are likely to interact with each other to magnify any deleterious outcomes, so in the case of CMEs leading to a Carrington-like event, the vulnerability of our specialized systems would be exacerbated by one or more technology traps such as "complex material infrastructure becoming maladaptive". The point being that when we were less technologically advanced, the Carrington Event was a curiosity but it is potentially an existential threat. I'm actually not convinced that it will be unless it is really huge as there has been work done to prep the grid for such an event and, of course, we will get significant warning time this time around.

This is trailing every developed nation in the world, not to mention countries such as Thailand, Costa Rica, Sri Lanka and Algeria. By all means, lets talk about this one case and the so-called "death panels", but make sure to ignore the infant mortality rate in the US, which puts us 55th in the world with an estimated 5.3 deaths per 1,000 live births. The UK, on the other hand, is ranked 38th in the world, with 4.1 per 1000. Now there's your tragedy. Figures are CIA World Factbook estimates for 2021, which i used because rhese are most likely to correct for differences in data aggregation/definitions. Much of this can be attributed to government involvement, or the lack of it, in regards to public health. Get mad about that, why don't you?

Countries that have equivalent GDPs with ours (I.e. other developed nations) spent an average of $6,125. What do those countries all have in common? A national health system. So not only are we spending waaaay more on healthcare, our outcomes are way worse on any given metric. Other countries are able to manage a proper national healthcare system while generally remaining prosperous (with perhaps the exception of the UK, where a combination of tax cuts in slavish imitation of the USA along with denationalization, defunding of public projects like the NHS, and also economically suicidal policies like Brexit have significantly damaged the country's overall prosperity (almost entirely under conservative leadership I might add). Honestly, you guys claim to be pro-life but I have yet to see much evidence that that's actually the case.

These very same scientists AIG regularly try and debunk, for fear their followers wake up and realise science offers answers to the mysteries of the universe without the use of magic, mythology and the supernatural? AIG often agree with scientists. They love science. Sometimes they just disagree with the interpretation of other scientists, which they have obviously done here with regards to the supposed climate and evolutionary projections. It is reasonable to assess the observations for yourself rather than just unilaterally accept someone's interpretation just because they are a scientist. Is that what you do? Trust everything they say? How does that work when two scientists disagree about something?

Science does not say anything. Science can never speak. Science is not a speaking creature...... o wait it is not even a creature. Scientists are the ones who interpret what Science reveals after experiments and discoveries. I find it funny that secular Scientists have changed and found things through Science that the biblical worldview has said for about 2000 years now.

@@tonyabrown7796 Hi Tony, it will depend on my level of expertise - I'm reasonably proficient on Astronomy, Chemistry, Geology, Paleontology and Physics. On biology I will defer to the experts. The evidence I have studied in my fields shows me the universe and the Earth are many billions of years old - time enough for the forces of natural selection to power evolution. As I say I find it interesting (and so typical of AIG) that they look to cherry pick some apocalyptic predictions from the very scientists they try to debunk.

It's funny that all geology, geography and archeology is all matching what the Bible has recorded. As far as science goes, there's nothing in the Bible scientific to even contradict science, yet all of the events in the Bible are scientifically verifiable, as in the flood and what not, except for the miracles, which of course require a being outside of nature that is able to make the supernatural happen. But the evolutionists choose to believe that life can come from nonlife, something we don't see happen today, and every molecule in the universe was squeezed into a point that could fit in a period on a page. I would like to see you squeeze a glass of water into the size of a period on a page. Too bad that's another thing that just doesn't happen. Also, all of the evidence proving the earth and universe couldn't possibly be millions, let alone billions, of years old, which is the amount of time it would require for the extreme hypothesis of evolutionism to take place.
