Two things about the Tyrannosaurus portrayal in this specific scene that aged well: 1. The Buck being able to actually sneak up on Ludlow (Tyrannosaurus was actually able to move silently). 2. Junior being more predatory and aggressive towards prey closer to his size.

@americancowboyj Nah... The plot of the second book isn't even that interesting. It's just darker and the deaths are *_much more_* brutal, but that's also the case with the first book. I also prefer the finale in this movie, which is pretty epic and memorable. I thought the second novel's finale was a bit underwhelming, to be honest.

This was the perfect end to a villain. He spent so long chasing the baby Rex, the key to opening the San Diego park. For the baby to have been his downfall really was a great touch. It wasn't the big monster that was killing everyone, it was a creature that seemed weak and very powerless without its parents.

He had Ludlow in his jaws (about 4:12 here). He could have killed him and let his son eat his corpse. Living prey can fight back when they're injured. The buck was willing to take that risk with his own son here? No matter how many times I see this scene, I always think the same thing. Since we don't see what happens when the infant attacks Ludlow, for all we know, he could have been waving his arms and fighting with it during the attack.
