Nice job man!! .. Idk, I would use some smaller, button like turn signals in the front :)
@49ccscoot2 ай бұрын
These are about as small as I wanna go. They're bright, but I like having them outward some and a reasonable size. Too many drivers pay no attention and don't notice even factory stuff, and there are more fun reasons to have an accident than someone missing a signal IMO.

What I'm looking at is not far off of that. Still waiting on the painter to check for me because he says some paints are expensive and there are quite a few greys to switch to that are similar if it winds up being one.

Seat, footstand and other thick black or grey plastic parts are made from 5pp (polypropylene). Decorative body panels are madr from ABS. PP only can be welded with iron solderer, you can you steel mesh or staples to strengthen it. You can also smelt food boxes made from 5pp to fill holes. 5pp cant be glued. But ABS can with cyanoacrilate glue. Use steel mesh and weld it with iron from underneath to add strength. Then you can use abs dissolved in solvent (i use acetone or 646) and fill cracks and put it on mesh to give it extra strong layer. You can always find the material markings on parts (5pp/PP/ABS). lenses are made from PC (Polycarbonate). It glues very vell with cyanoacrylate glue.

good work,What brand of air filter is the one you fitted? Measurements? Thanks
@49ccscoot2 ай бұрын
Doesn't really have a brand on it. It's generic amazon stuff I guess. They have 38 and 42mm to fit different carbs. Mine is the 38mm. It's 60mm thick by 94mm across. amzn.to/4haftt0

Awesome fixup. You might consider using epoxy in the future instead of polyester resin. It has better adhesive qualities, cures more slowly, doesn’t go bad over time, and is far stronger. It is more expensive but you don’t really use too much so its cost probably isn‘t a significant overall factor.
@49ccscoot2 ай бұрын
What I've got on here is probably stronger than the 20 year old Chinese plastic, but thanks for the info. I literally just bought what came up when I looked for fiberglass.
@tenders2 ай бұрын
@@49ccscoot Agreed, the fiberglass laminate you’ve applied is almost certainly stronger than the old, brittle plastic, but it may not stay adhered to the plastic for long after vibration and temperature fluctuations. I haven’t tested this myself with polyester resin, but epoxy only works pretty well for this on plastic, and it is known for being especially adhesive. PS - love your channel, you’re amazingly thorough and clear, my comment here is really about curiosity and not skepticism.

How did you get a correct reading of your RPM ? i’ve tried the wiring suggested in the manual but it’s reading 6000rpm a idle
@49ccscoot2 ай бұрын
6000RPM idle is likely 3x the actual idle or you have a very high idle and it's double. I think most single cylinder 2Ts will either be setting 1 or 2.

I have a 2010 T-Max. I changed the clutch and belt, and when I finished, a noise and squeaking sound appeared on the belt. Please, what is the solution and how do I contact you?
@Furgodj2 ай бұрын
I had that sound with news belts.. almost always os because the belt is too dry. Next week i will change it.
@JDMz2 ай бұрын
If its squeaking you have the wrong size belt. Or you may have the right sized belt but the belt is snagged on the variator. When fitting the belt did you make sure that the belt was slack when the variator was installed. It could also be the clutch shoes that are glazed that often causes a slipping belt or a screech sound. Could also be the torque driver bearing.
@49ccscoot2 ай бұрын
The belt or CVT on my TMAX always makes a noise at idle. I would probably see if it breaks in and stops before worrying too much unless it's a loud noise. Mine is pretty faint. If it's loud, look at the suggestions that others have already posted.
