@@zizou357 No, sir. In this song it's Rudolf on the lead guitar and Matthias on the rhythm guitar. 100% positive. Matthias entered the group in 1979 and the song was written in 1984. In the Worldwide live album it is described that Rudolf plays the lead guitar, and even in this vid you can see him playing the solo and Matthias instead of Michael or Uli. I know this for 35 years, now.

When the daylight is falling down into the night And the sharks try to cut a big piece out of life It feels alright to go out to catch an outrageous thrill But it's more like spinning wheels of fortune Which never stand still Big city, big city nights You keep me burning Big city, big city nights When the sunlight is rising up in my eyes And the long night has left me back at somebody's side It feels alright for a long sweet minute like hours before But it's more like looking out for something I can't find anymore Big city, big city nights You keep me burning Big city, big city nights Always yearning There is no dream That you can't make true, if you're looking for love But there's no girl Who's burning the ice away from my heart Maybe tonight! Big city, big city nights You keep me burning Big city, big city nights Always yearning Big city, big city nights You keep me burning Big city, big city nights Always yearning

We drove down from Vancouver BC to see Ratt and the Scorpions at the Tacoma Dome in 84 or 85 I believe. One of my favourite concerts ever for sure. And we saw EVERYONE. The number of smoking hot girls at that show was just mind blowing. And the screams for Stephen Pearcy and then Mathias Jabs were just deafening. Great memories.

Man it must be a hell a lot of fun in the 1980's, I wish I lived in that time period!

+Iron Maiden As someone who have had the extraordinary pleasure of experiencing that entire decade as a kid, listening to Scorpions, W.A.S.P., Twisted Sister, Accept, Alice Cooper, Manowar, and many, many others, watching 80s cartoons every morning (He-Man, Thundercats, Transformers, Inspector Gadget, ...) and wearing crazy neon-colored clothes, I can confirm that the 80s was in fact absolutely amazing :)
@shreddersteve26638 жыл бұрын
+Noctumus Of course who wouldn't think the 80's was amazing it was the best time period for Heavy Metal \m/. Honestly I think this generation really sucks compared to the 80's I hate our generation it is shit!
@NoctumusTV8 жыл бұрын
+Iron Maiden Your generation doesn't suck, it's just very different than that of the 80s. One of the most notable differences between 1986 and 2016, in my opinion, is the internet. Not only the enormous amount of possibilities it has opened as a technology, but mainly the way it has affected how people think and go about their daily lives. This _constantly online mentality_ you find in pretty much all people in the Western civilization today, didn't exist in the 80s. It's like people in 2016 (myself included) cannot "go offline" mentally and just forget all about their communication devices and their online lives/profiles. And *that* is what I believe is one of the primary reasons people in the 80s were better at making music: they weren't constantly anticipating some alert/notification from their smartphone which enabled them to really concentrate and devote themselves entirely to their music.
@shreddersteve26638 жыл бұрын
+Noctumus Well it defiantly does when it comes to music, because that was the time when music like Heavy Metal was really big and great, and when it comes to the music now it is just all rape and pop bullshit that is absolutely garbage, I really hate the music now it sucks! and I also think the fashion back then looked so much better then nowadays fashion, the only thing I like in this generation is the technologies that's it nothing else but overall I think the world was a better place in the 1980's in my opinion. Keep the faith \m/

Early 80s were cool. Late 80s pretty much sucked.
@siggyretburns75234 жыл бұрын
@George Lynch I dunno. That kinda depends on how you well you like GNR. I think Axel is a turd. The rest of the band kicked ass and would probly still be together except for their drummer (cant remember his name, but had a hard time with the needle). I seen Slash a few times since their departures. I even saw him with grand funk railroad and...are you ready for this?..Carol King. But in fairness, I didnt like the late 80s for personal reasons. Not because of the music. I had a lot of problems then. But I cant really recall any really REALLY good bands from that point on. Alternative and grunge were on the rise. And though some wanna call it punk, I like to think of it as a more talented and less attitude type punk. Yet, theres still bands that carry an attitude that didnt form till the 90s. The Smut Peddlers for example. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4qXl6SZqaZoY6M Bands like NOFX, Offspring, Pennywise, etc. They dont boast their shit, but they should cuz they do kick ass if you like hard speedy shit. I do. They also put out alot more music for your buck too. Not just 7 songs on one album that comes out once a year. Then they put out an album with songs from previous albums and call it "the best of.." What a crock of shit ripoff. Or put out a bunch of live albums. Kids these days have tons of talent but it looks like nobody told them so. I guess that the internet has spread "How to..." So well that they're learning the guitar at 10, and all the tricks that come with it. Wait. I take that back. Motorhead... They were just getting warmed up around then. Even though they been around and folks would think they'd be slowing down, they were just changing gears.
@siggyretburns75234 жыл бұрын
@George Lynch Yeah huh. I remember the 1st time I saw them on headbangers ball. I never heard of them and my pal asked if I seen these guys before? I said no. He grinned and said you gonna love this shit. As soon as we sat down the the 2nd thing out of his mouth was "These guys days are numbered". I was impressed. But from then on, all I heard about was GNR, GNR, GNR, axel rose and GNR. I saw his teeth and thought great, bunch of junkies. Then heard about all the crap he was doing at shows, hotels, restaurants. He publicized the band great. And I'm sure if not for him, they wouldn't have made it. But he also destroyed the band with a fairly large ego. So they called it off at right about the best time. Funny how everyone folliws a band like a fad. In one minute, out the next. Along with all their posters and shit because Nickleback or whoever is now the shit. Lol I follow what I like and its never failed me. I even liked Stryper for the longest time. Actually still do. Michael and Oz are experts at guitars. But they get into the Christ bit too much, not that I dont hate Christians or anything. I just hate being thumped. But music, reguardless of lyrics, isnt hard to judge. Just dont look at them. Ugly fux can kick ass till you see what they look like. Ever see Metallica before ride the lightning? E-fuckin-ewe. James Hetfields face looked like one giant zit. But I bought ride the lightning when nobody ever heard of them. Some friends hated it, some liked. But when they hit it big, they all seemed to like them then. See what I mean? Same thing with Overkill. And I could never play Motorballs at low volume. Or anthrax. Slowly moved to punk cuz it was gaining talent. Johnny Ramone even played a solo!! After what, 12 years? Lol
