Scorpions have been making great music since early seventies. Way ahead of the other bands you mentioned. Very disappointed Scorpions are not in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame. Iron Maiden should also be inducted. They were already touring together before other bands started their careers.

Scorpions, formed in Germany in 1965, throughout the 70s and 80s, helped define the sound of European melodic metal, influencing other bands that would come later, such as Accept, Helloween and Gamma Ray, while other groups such as Black Sabbath and Deep Purple were shaping the sound of heavy metal in England. Tease Me Please Me, although it is not a song that addresses deep themes, far from it, seems to me to be a classic example of 90s rock. The interpretation of Klaus Meine, the vocalist, in Tease Me Please, is perceived as full of passion and sensuality, adapting perfectly to the provocative tone of the song. His style on this song is more restrained compared to the band's more epic ballads, but maintains a controlled intensity that blends well with the theme. Nah nah, do the live AFTER the studio/video version. The video is entertaining - a little goofy, but fun - what 80s videos were all about. That way you get the original studio rendition at the same time - two birds one stone and all that. Then check out the live stuff. No One Like You was also re-recorded in 2011 for the Comeblack compilation - even that's worth a listen, for comparison. And no, it is NOT "cheating repeating" to do that ; the studio and live - and even studio re-makes - are their own animals. So it's all perfectly legit! 😀

While Scorpions are not one of my absolute favourite bands, I have always liked them since I discovered them with Crazy world (the album this song featured on) and own all their albums. Klaus does though have one of my favourite voices in rock. His sound is amazing and nobody else sounds like him. You do though need to listen to more of their rock songs like Rock you like a hurricane. Also something like the song Peacemaker from the album they released in 2022 just to show they can still rock. On another note, I was just listening to one of my fave Bon Jovi songs before watching your video, and it got be thinking it really is a Jovi song you should react to. It was totally different for the band at the time, and the guitar work in it is certainly worth experiencing. The song is called Dry county. Don't let me down now ha ha

They have WAY MORE hard rockers than ballads, though. Check out : LOVEDRIVE (1979) - Lovedrive - Is There Anybody There - Hey You ANIMAL MAGNETISM (1980) - Only A Man - Make It Real - Animal Magnetism (very slow, sludgy, but HEAVY, cos it is SEXY AS F*** - this is the song you play when you are seducing someone! A good sexytime soundtrack for at least 6 minutes) BLACKOUT (1982) - Blackout - Dynamite (a must!!!) - No One Like You LOVE AT FIRST STING (1984) - Bad Boys Running Wild - Big City Nights - The Same Thrill SAVAGE AMUSEMENT (1988) - Don't Stop At The Top - Passion Rules The Game - Rhythm Of Love - Media Overkill - We Let It Rock, You Let It Roll CRAZY WORLD (1990) - Crazy World - To Be with You In Heaven - Lust Or Love - Restless Nights There's so much more dating back to 1972 (Lonesome Crow), and as recent as 2022 (Rock Believer). Ha! Well, you can't go wrong with Scorpions. Oh, the 80s! I think I've mentioned this before, but once you get past the occasional power ballad, or whatever, most of the songs from that era were basically just about partying and sex! You know. When you're a rock star, you have to have your priorities straight. Except for maybe Eddie Van Halen, nobody learns to play the guitar because they were inspired by Beethoven. There's a reason that the old saying goes, "Sex, Drugs, and Rock N Roll!" The 80s were particularly bad and indulgent because they were already raised on the fantasy, but there was less politics and purpose than in the 60s and 70s, and they still hadn't quite figured out how self destructive it all was yet, and it was kind of just a more superficial culture at the time in general. You just reacted to Poison, and I think I was saying that they were big on songs like this. Like check out "Unskinny Bop".
