"All right. They’re on our left, they’re on our right, they’re in front of us, they’re behind us … They can’t get away this time.” Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller gave us tons of great quotes. This particular one he spit out while Chinese forces surrounded his men at the Chosin Reservoir. The Marines were expected to fight what essentially amounted to a doomed delaying action as the Chinese wiped them out. Instead, the Marines broke out and slaughtered their way through multiple enemy divisions.

Dan Daly was literally one of the most legendary Marines in US history. One of only 2 Marines to recieve the Medal of Honor twice (should have been 3 times but politics, go figure). Fought in the Boxer Rebellion, in Haiti, and WWI. When with the Marines in Belleau Wood in France during WWI, he rose from his trench, walked forward, weapon in hand, looked to the German lines, looked back at his Marines and gave one of the greatest lines ever heard: "Come on you sons of bitches, do you want to live forever?!"

I have 4 elder brothers, oldest was an Army tank driver, next was an Air Force desk jockey, next was a Coast Guard desk jockey, and the next was an Army truck driver. My father was a Navy Squid in WWII who was as tough as they come. I respect all of their decisions to serve in their respective branches. Those 5 men didn't coddle me for even 1 second and it came as no surprise to any of them that I not only chose the USMC, but also guaranteed in my enlistment contract that I would go into the infantry. I felt that if I was going into the toughest branch I didn't want to half-ass it with an easy job. Even better was that I was an 0331 (M60E3 gunner), not an 0311 (basic infantryman). These quotes are great, and they certainly make us puff out our chest and set us straight when we are having an off day, but there are a ton more quotes and memes that are more hilarious than a warning. Google Image "Marines Epic Dismount" for a taste :D

Also, 2012x I already been out for 2 years going to school in Vancouver, WA. Well a bunch of fuckers jumped me. As in 5 people, took 8 cops and 3 tasers to hold me back, after I got jumped. I’m 5’9” and about 195 lbs in decent shape. As in I’d struggle a tiny amount with current marine shit I’ve been out since 2010…I was I. Better shape then…and not even trying, or actually hitting those those opposing me; it took 8 cops and heavy use of 3 tasers when I’m being nice, am I, or could I be a UFC champ? No, cause I don’t follow rules and we aren’t taught that for individual fights. I also knew the poor cops were just and wrong a call, and no one was trying to kill me, as no weapons pulled. But they did jump me; they didn’t like my response, especially as cops could barely control me, pure adrenaline and fury is Terri flying if you never seen and experienced it, needed it to survive. I’d throw 3 cops bigger than me, and not fat, off me at a time, from the ground. Under 3 tasers, they literally only make me more pissed off, and slow me down for a few seconds at most. Yes, they troed arm barring me, etc, didn’t work. I knew what they were doing and stronger with adrenaline than 3-4 cops. I’ve been in real life or death since I was 6, then joined the USMC, went to Iraq and Afghanistan in 07-09…so yeah, cops ain’t got shit on that, unless they were military and had the same background. I never hit a single Vancouver pd, it just took a long time to contain me, as I punched the dumb cunts that started and kept up shit with me.

Our family no matter what branch has always done well and has always been fighters to end and don’t count us out until our last breathe. It’s hard to find people that way these days and especially ones that mean what they say and say what they mean. There is no guessing to the understanding of what is said and what is meant because there is no implying. More people should be that way.
