The SNP had it in there election manifesto that if there is a significant change such as Scotland being forced out of the EU by Westminster then there should be another independence referendum. The SNP won that election. The Scottish parliament voted in by a proportional voting system voted by 69-59 in favour of IndyRef2. Westminster have ignored the Scottish people, the Scottish government and the Scottish parliament. It is not xenophobic to want to be an independent country just like independent Canada, independent Republic of Ireland, independent New Zealand and independent Australia etc. It is normal for countries to be independent. In an independent Scotland the Scottish people would be governed by the government that they vote for and not be governed by the government that another country voted for.
