been riding around for yrs with mine broken. thanks for the vid, i'll be fixing this very soon. key to removal is to raise the handle on putty knife / scraper up to push the mechanism / holder bracket clips down. $13 bucks and it's good to go.

No need for a tool to wedge in there, just hold the dash with one hand and get a good grip with the other, pull really hard back and up a little. Took me two try to use the right force
