Maybe they can add a firmware update to have an option with a button press sequence so you can change the shut off time or turn that feature OFF until you change it back.

For active pick ups, it may depend on the shielding inside the guitar. I’ve used this many times in rehearsal and on one local gig with my Modulus Quantum bass - active Bartolini PUs and an Aguilar pre-amp - and it’s very clean. YMMV Highly recommend this. Glad I found them on Scott’s channel

Got myself the 2.4 GHz B-5RC a couple of weeks ago and I'm super happy with it. Can't believe I was clinging to that stupid cable for so long. So far, not a single issue with interference in our pretty wifi-crowded rehearsal space. And yeah, that charging case is a game-changer. Fits perfectly in a Gator case and is just so, so , so convenient. I would go with the 5.8 GHz version if I had to buy it again now though but... okay.
@ScottUhlMusic2 жыл бұрын
Hey, if your 2.4ghz system is working great (mine has too), then stick with it! It’s definitely the best 2.4ghz system I’ve used. Both are great, I just personally have had much better experience with 5.8ghz. Although… You could always get a second one too just in case 😊

Thanks for the review. I've been using the Joyo JW-03 for a while and been very happy with it until our band started to get more wireless devices with wireless guitars, IEM's and the 2.4G router for the digital mixer along with various IPads and other near field wireless devices. Now the Joyo experiences a lot of that flutter you hear when another wireless device is interfering or on a frequency that is too close. Now that we're using in ears, the flutter and odd sputter is very obvious and highly annoying. Time for something different and I think the Nuxx C-5RC is the answer. As for the Joyo wireless, the only difference between it and a 15 foot cable is that the cable is ever so slightly louder with only a little less compression on the signal. Sound and tone and frequency pass through is actually slightly better than a cable. I hope the Nuxx c-5RC is at least that good. All these guys who say that these small dongle style wireless units are not professional grade, are obviously not professional guitarists. I have used my Joyo wireless for large scale major venue highly paid professional gigs without an issue and 0 tone degradation. On a large stage the interference is minimal if at all which is a plus. I get the most interference on small crowded stages where everyone is a few feet from one another. You don't need Shure or Sennheiser at $700 a pop to get a professional road worthy highly reliable wireless guitar system anymore. The only reason the famous guys are using all high end packs is because they can and when you are out there making a couple hundred grand a night, a few Shure/Sennheiser systems in your rig isn't really an issue. For the rest of us who aren't quite there yet, these Nuxx and others work very well, are inexpensive and perfectly suited for a wireless solution.

great review :) this is my first wireless guitar system and i really like it.. works perfectly but there‘s one thing about it: if you’re a fuzz player like me it’s unusable in many cases.. fuzz pretty much wants to be first in the chain and the nux will not even turn on when attached to the fuzz :/ even if i put the fuzz later in the chain or through the fx loop it will sound really bad and muddy and the volume control clean-up will not happen.. i mean you can get very clear and nice sound out of the nux if you re willing to play without fuzz :) this was just my experience and i hope it will help someone ✌🏽

I don’t think there is a wireless that is “true stereo.” I actually looked because I wanted one to go out of an iPad and still send a panned signal of left and right for backing tracks. The only way I’ve seen a true stereo wireless setup is to use two wireless. I’ve seen that with Opeth and Rodrigo y Gabriella live.

My ammoon finally busted after a year and a half of use. Thinking of getting this one. When it goes into sleep mode after 10 minutes, do you have to just hit the button on the transmitter and it all wakes up? Or do you have to hit the button on both of them? Cheers
@ScottUhlMusic2 жыл бұрын
It’s usually just the transmitter that needs to be woken up. Every now and then the receiver goes to sleep though, but it’s usually just the transmitter. This system is awesome! But that’s the one thing I wish I could change on it

Hey, great video! I've seen a lot of comments on Amazon about the longevity of these. Apparently, they work really well for the first month, and then they crap out. After having them for a few months, did you notice any issues with frequency or interference?

It operates with 5.8G but maybe you've forgot that wifi operates both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz and the 5Ghz operates ranges from 5.15Ghz to 5.85Ghz... So there are still a possibility for the interference between this device and the wifi routers...
@ScottUhlMusic Жыл бұрын
That’s true, but 2.4ghz is much much more crowded with far fewer channels like I go over in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHTVd36Bp52Ki6Msi=jygx1AghK2C4ZFqB

Sadly a deal-breaker for me until it’s USB-C. I’m trying to cut down the number of cables I carry to an absolute minimum, and if I forget one it’s likely someone will have USB-C. Which other brands are USB-C? Interested especially in Swiff WS-50 or WS-70. I love your videos on this topic (and in general), but mentioning the types of cable needed would be a bonus

My only beef with all these small wireless is one day the battery 'will' die. Mine did on my first one after 2 years. I did like it so much I bought a second. BUT??? Why did I have to?
@ScottUhlMusic2 жыл бұрын
Value for price. If I spent $50-$100 on a wireless that lasted 2 years, and then I had to replace it because the internal battery eventually died, I would say it’s a great deal. And it’s still cheaper than an entry level Shure/sennheiser. You still got a great deal!

Hey Scott. Quick question - Is there any other wireless system on the market that has a charging case and transmits in the 5ghz range? I am interested in this system but what bothers me is the fact that the case is micro usb and not usb C. Been trying hard to get rid of as much micro usb as possible. :)
@ScottUhlMusic Жыл бұрын
This is the only one I know. And it does come with the cable and you can leave it in the case. I prefer usb c as well, but it’s not that big of a deal since you can keep the cable with it 👍

You’re out of your mind if you think this is an acceptable wireless for major live gigs. The signal drop, like most all wireless systems is so bad with this thing it is unusable for anything but practice. The loss of EQ that you get is so apparent, anyone with precise hearing should notice. Either you are lying for the sponsor or you really don’t have much of an ear at all. Anyone reading this - do not buy if you plan to use in a professional setting.
@ScottUhlMusic2 жыл бұрын
I have taken this thing to multiple gigs. All of my gear I try out multiple times before using it live. That included the shows down in Dominican Republic I mention in this video (and have footage of). This thing worked fantastic! Not all cheap wireless will work for everyone’s setup, and I mention that ad nauseam in my videos. For you, and your exact setup, and your exact preference on tone, this didn’t work for you. If you are a “tone snob/purist” you should not be looking at cheap wireless. That’s on you to understand. I like gear that works (this one works amazing for me at every gig I’ve used it at), and I do not hear any tone loss with my setup. I still highly recommend this wireless. 👍
