@namdrah692 жыл бұрын
I worked in the Weld department where we build the bodies on these TLX's, the body is built like a tank, way heavier than the current CRV and ILX. The Accord chassis preceded the TLX and it is also a very robust structure. Every new model has to follow the latest crash ratings which require much more engineering to keep the body as light as possible but maintain the latest 5 star crash ratings. So the new TLX has some new technological components that are the first to be used on Honda's mass produced body structures.

The sound system alone was a huge reason why im looking at the tlx, as im an audiophile and there's no other car in that segment that has something like it. Scotty, I had a similar situation with a CPO last year. The dealer advertised the car as CPO but then they had a $1,500 additional CPO charge. Those guys were crooks and luckily I found a brand NEW car at the same price as the CPO from a different dealer.

Only downside about Honda/Acura V6 engines is that they’re still using timing belts to this day. Even the TLX Type-S and MDX/MDX Type-S uses timing belts. Don’t understand why they can’t just switch over to a timing chain.
