@dukewellington705020 күн бұрын
This is not true with today's tech. Fast charging occurs in two phases. Phase 1 is the fast charge which will take you up to about 80%. Phase 2 is a slow charge to prevent harm to the battery. This was implemented in phone batteries 7-8 years ago and is standard in all car batteries too.

Sometimes Toyota does something stupid but thankfully they keep it to a minimum and they try to make it right when they pull a GM lol.

A good example of why tariffs simply don't serve the consumers' needs. What are the odds, with tariffs on Chinese EVs in the US and Canada, that an EV built domestically will ever be under $20k USD? Zero! Also, with Trump likely to impose a 25% tariffs on most Canadian made goods entering the US, that's going to do nothing but increase the cost for any domestically made gas powered car too since auto parts supply chain integration between our countries is so pervasive. If the CAD dollar wasn't already in the crapper, I'd import a 3 year old Telsa model 3 from Washington for about $16k USD. Instead, I'm going to keep burning fossil fuels because new EVs are unaffordable for most middle income Canadians and things are only going to get worse during the Trump administration.

you have to pay tariffs on goods imported from US to other countries, so it’s only fair that we have tariffs on goods imported to US from other countries… tariffs are here to protect domestic production and workers … only thing I care about is US , can’t care less about Canada , China or anyone else …
