If the Honda is your grandma's car here is a little tip (from a long time Honda owner) for you. When you install a new air filter, the retaining clip is curved spring steel and it's quite easy to make it snap into place by pushing the clip in (with your thumb) where it curves. This is much harder to explain than it is to do ;-)

I"ve owned two honda fits an 07 that was hauled from an insurance claim that had 244K miles and was still running and driving, couldn't afford body, and suspension work. My current 08 has 196K. Love these cars. My first one would try and stall while cold the spark plugs, air filter where changed and it did okay till the serp belt snapped and shreaded then the tensioner pully fell off XD Managed to make it work with an inch smaller belt. These cars are awesome, they will get up and go pretty quick with just stock, but they are easy to work, cheap parts, and great gas saver for someone like me who loves to drive, plus fold the back seats down and you can haul just about anything I"ve had everything fridges, deep freezers, wood, hay, animals, people, cargo in my car. you can FIT A LOT IN FIT

Always a good video. Just traded in my 2007 Honda Fit with 243,000 miles, original back brakes still good, front brakes replaced twice with new rotors, and one coil, all four plugs. It ran like clockwork. So I bought a 2020 Honda Fit. In between we bought a 2018 Honda Fit. So far no trouble from any of them. 2020 is the last year, gas prices down, economy cars not popular. But being empty nestors, we both just want a dependable, small easy to park easy maintanance cars. And to be honest, they drive great long distances. I never had any problems with this car.

New Spark plugs require you to remove wipers, windshied trim, wiper motor, and metal pan. Once there, I found three of the four spark plugs loose enough to remove without a wrench. Plugs and coils carboned right up. Apparently this is a known problem. Lucky to catch it when we did🙄

I think there's one injector that's noisy (tick-tick-tick sound when cold or driving uphill). I've run some PEA injector cleaner through, replaced the air filter and plugs and coils already. I think when I adjust the valve clearances I'll take the injectors in for testing.

I had a Yugo come in the shop years ago for tires. The left wheel assy was held on with a piece of wire hanger. Ball joint went I'm guessing, & Bubba wir'd er up. Drove OK, I guess.

2018 Impreza here with 40k and I also have white smoke. I suspected the head gasket is to blame, guess it's time for the head gasket test! The dealer has also been very dismissive.
