The more I think back on it the more giveaways I see, the girl standing in the light, her fear of the man’s flamethrower, the wet thump that accompanied her walking around the corner, the man hiding where she was found; but even then the flesh is clever, it has learned that it can manipulate us, sniff us out... even pose as one of us. That’s something I find so interesting, the flesh itself is learning and adapting such as the humans before it. The flesh itself is becoming more human, becoming a bigger threat by the day.

SCP 001-A tries to convince other to do what they see as the best thing ever : greet the sun and melt, as amalgamation of multiple 001-A they apparently experience a great pleasure out of it and want to share it to other people. In this lies the answer to is it evil or not. In this tale, the behaviour 001-A was changed in an attempt to make it more horrific as it surprise the viewer. in the article 001-A is reluctant to separate and are more likely to brute force through any problem rather than send scout unit to bait survivors in the sewers Therefor, i don't think this tale can be used to determine wherever 001-A is evil or not

it tries but it cant. when a living being melts, it tries to return to it original form but it just fails halfway, and then when they fuse with other flesh thing, they can no longer return to a specific form as the image they are trying to return to is now conflicting with the multiple images that exist within the blob. It's as if you throw two or more jigsaw puzzles together and try to make ONE coherent picture out of all the pieces, it's impossible. this tale is not canon and contradict with the article, but it's a good halloween piece

This was a great piece of writing that was filled with action and horror and I actually enjoyed the character of David. The flashback of what happened was great too. But I predicted the second the girl showed her head that she was scp-001 and words cannot describe how upset I got realizing I was right. Fair play to you. You managed to get me emotionally attached to a character in under 10 minutes, then killed him. Bastard. Well done.

Every time I watch this SCP, it makes me cry sometimes, it's a truly horrific story, of the world living a life where if they die, they have no control of their death, their souls will never be at peace, as the flesh won't let you, this SCP is truly depressing, losing your friends and family, and then they come back, and they sound just like them, but they aren't alive, they are a hive mind that wants humanity to suffer and fear the light.
