SCP-096 Tale - Picture Perfect (SCP Animation)

SCP 096 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Shy Guy.
SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition. Arms are grossly out of proportion with the rest of the subject's body, with an approximate length of 1.5 meters each. Skin is mostly devoid of pigmentation, with no sign of any body hair.
SCP-096's jaw can open to four (4) times the norm of an average human.
SCP096 is normally extremely docile, with pressure sensors inside its cell indicating it spends most of the day pacing by the eastern wall. However, when someone views SCP-096's face, whether it be directly, via video recording, or even a photograph, it will enter a stage of considerable emotional distress. SCP-096 will cover its face with its hands and begin screaming, crying, and babbling incoherently. Approximately one (1) to two (2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 will begin running to the person who viewed its face (who will from this point on be referred to as SCP-096-1).

If 096 did come back, I wonder if another way to neutralize 096 be to put Dr. Bright's amulet on the creature. The video said that the amulet kills the host and allows Bright to take control of their body. Say they do not want him to keep such a powerful body. They could just have the amulet taken off. I am sure Dr. Bright would agree since the video said he would like to experience death anyway, and being 096 would severely limit that possibility.

from what I'm aware, taking the amulet off does not actually kill the host body if enough time has passed. Think it's something like 3 days or a few hours or something, but after a specific amount of time, the body becomes permanently inhabited by Dr. Bright, and the amulet placed onto a new body would create a new Dr. Bright.

@@DaemonicRenamon no you are thinking of 682, and it didn't work ( see tales from the brightside : we're off to be the lizard) it was quite the disaster lots of staff deaths ( basically bright cleft , and a bunch of D class somehow rigged a mechanical pole and literally rammed the amulet down 682"s throat 682 then killed Bright and the D classes followed by a month long battle between their souls for control of 682's body with intermittent boughts of 682 waking up and nursing staff that was followed by 682 projectile vomiting the amulet out it took a week for the amulet to normally possess a D-class afterwards and so bright was banned from further attempts)

He had his neck spapped by 173. Damaging 1 vetebre... the then pumped his spine full of high strenght acid. This started to desolve 096's head. It went into a frenzy. The bag on its head melted every one looked at its face. It went into a rampage and everyone shot at it... instead of bullets not hurting 096 like normal they ripped right through it and the mtf team just kept firing. Before too long 096 was just a a bag full of bullet holes acid softend bone and blood. It was still... and dead. Side note thats just some other cannon thing some people dont consider this cannon

Im with Dr Clef on this one. Many SCP´s are not even worth of the space they occupy, not to mention there would somehow be of anything use to be learned from them. If the research doesnt help you figure out how to weaponize something or use it to heal/feed the people, and it causes casualities (even once is enough, but regularly?) it should be considered to be put on a chopping block.

They just existed forever aware of what’s happening. I would really to see if shy guy was observed just flying up onto a plane from the ocean. Like, the 2 biggest questions for me, are what happens when more than one person sees him at the same time, does he prioritize whomever saw him first? Also, what mode of movement does he use to get to seemingly impossible locations like on a plane. Is he capable of flight somehow? Teleportation? What about how long it takes? If you remove yourself from him good enough, like via a portal for example, can you buy enough time to do something productive while your impending doom barrels at you? What if you use a portal gun to always keep yourself on the opposite side of the planet from him?

It's not a canon tale. But the main reason why 096 is so hard to kill is because of his indestructible exoskeleton . So they basically snapped his spine with using SCP 173 and pumped his spine full of Hydrochloric acid. Which melted all of his tissue and didn't give him time to regenerate as a result melted his whole body. It's pretty gory.

Good question!.....although you'd need to teach it language first, assuming it has the mental capacity for language, let alone compliments. Unlike 682, he is not hyper intelligent.
