I’ll make one for you. 5733-2 was advised to wait for 2876 to enter the room. Once 2876 entered, he unlocked the door and began to pin down the slasher and bludge him to death with a candlelight. A second copy of the slasher appeared, 2876 used the knife of the downed slasher to stab both slashers. 2876 and 5733-2 went to the police station to report the attempted murder. The camera cut the the slasher being arrested by the police, and it one again cut to the slasher being sentenced to life in prison. SCP 5733-2 thanks 2876 and he disappears into another story. The tape goes black. When replayed, SCP 5733-2 no longer asked the subject for help, but instead waited for scp 2876. However, 2876 was still contained in its own story while the tape was being replayed. It seemed that when 5733-2 was finally saved, 5733’s tape was locked to that plot. 5733 was classified as neutralized.

SCP 6500 actually takes note of that, and it goes about bettering the foundation as their actions actually start to cause a “death of magic” scenario and the O5’s vanish after giving directions to the foundations, numerous agents rebel against the overseers and go on the mission set by the O5 and stop the end. Those who feel sympathy for this one, really don't. This one actively tries to warp the narrative. In fact, the RAISA documentation goes so far as to say the SCP "is believed to be diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder and delusions of grandeur". It is a representation of the Hero's Journey Archetype. Ironically enough, the Foundation itself outplayed the "hero" who never really was the hero to begin with. Furthermore, the best explanation for such heightened self-worth may be due to the fact that the archetype is perhaps the most overused element in fictional narratives in the history of literature. But it also leads to a sense of denial and pettiness the likes of which could be akin to that of a spoiled young child with a victim complex and deep, deep pervasiveness of insecurity and pretentiousness. Narratively, if properly done, it is perhaps the most versatile and (arguably) relatable trope there is. But if it's a 2786, then it is very much what I call a "Narrative Killer" or "Story breaker". Unlike its "A Hero is Born" or "Self-Insert Character" forbearers is they stand to indulge or at least make minor alterations to a larger narrative like a CYOA or cameos, which are arguably just as, if not more so, versatile as the Hero's Journey Archetype.
@tomleary5082 жыл бұрын
Bullshit. He was doing what he felt was right, saving lives which may not be "real" to us but were real to him. Then the Foundation came in and fucked it all up. Narcissistic personality disorder and delusions of grandeur? Likely never would have cropped up until after they ruined him and his purpose. They did this to him because they knew he would be hostile to them because of their lack of morals.

Fair enough, although the fact the Hero's Journey Archetype is overused may explain why it has such a high degree in self worth, self importance, and overt arrogance. But even for this anomaly, I agree it is a kind of cruel and unusual thing...but I'd argue the fact the journey never ends is a kind of cruel thing itself, especially if the narrative continues to warp, change and is therefore never truly resolved.

Would love to see this Scp cross tested with SCP-5733/SCP-6733 - The Suburb Slasher it would be interesting to see art, typical hero, face off against a slasher, who could adapt to pretty much anything

They kind of just rewrite stories to have no real suspense and make the villains unable to have any impact. The reason why they're extremely dangerous to the SCP organization is well, they're also fictional so they have the capability of undoing the necessary evils that the SCP organization has to commit. They were releasing D-class personnel which, yeah D-class get treated harsher than they should, but they were still (in large) the villains of their own stories as they're all convicted of horrible crimes each (at least they're supposed to all be death-row criminals and such) so I feel like this SCP unfortunately has tunnel vision and would be very, very difficult to control in a productive manner.

loving how he read it old school car rather than oldschool car not criticizing the reader just pointing out this is why you dont use terms like oldschool for "documentative" descriptions like scp listings

I wonder how SCP-2786 would fair against SCP-5733
@rvpairofdicethewanderer23832 жыл бұрын
Let's look this over again... SCP-5733's monster, the "Suburb Slasher, seems to always be as intelligent as the viewer instructing Heather on how to escape the situation. That said, SCP-5733 is challenging the viewer, itself. At the same time, SCP-5733 seems to always know instantly how to defeat a narrative's antagonist. Considering the fact the Suburb Slasher may copy a viewer with above regular human abilities (such as Agent Bennett with her thaumaturgy), it'd be an interestimg fight for sure.
@ahitfan1captaina2 жыл бұрын
I bet SCP-1230 and SCP-2786 would get along very well, but considering that SCP-423 has the same properties as SCP-2786, I wonder, would the two be enemies
@rvpairofdicethewanderer23832 жыл бұрын
@@ahitfan1captaina I'm pretty sure SCP-1230 only wants whoever reads it to be the hero. If SCP-2786 would try to force it, there is a 50% chance they'd be enemies. For SCP-423 (Fred), he'd tolerate SCP-2786's existance as long as he is not bothered since Fred only wants to be a Background Character that is not involved with major plotlines of stories.

This. This is the exact story I had been planning to write on the scp wiki. Couldn't do it because of the end sem finals. Universe works in mysterious ways. I was even going to call it the hero. Whose appearance matches the observers idea of a hero with no fixed race or gender. He/ she is mysteriously present at the place of trouble and strangely aquires the exact skill or knowledge to overcome that specific obstacle.

When can we see a tale of Dr. Clef or any of Foundation Staff decommission an anomaly? Those stories are always a good read, this great material for a video. Day 321 of asking the O5 Council to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
