Massive Scrap Haul - Summer is Over

I am curious though, have you thought about tearing down the appliances and recovery more copper and also the aluminum that some appliances hold. I know that it will take more time, but is the bigger payday worth it over the long run. Stay safe and see you on the next video. Have I thought about it? Well I've done it. Very low return on investment. It already is worth a certain amount. Without doing anything. So the time invested is only what is in addition to what it's already worth. It's a lot of work that is a heavy cost on the hands joints and body. I could do it and make minimum wage approximately. But is that worth the heavy toll on the body? No. Let machinery do the separation at the scrap yards with shredders. Some people think you can make a lot more money, until they do it. They might do it for a month or two. Maybe even a couple years. But if you do it any longer than that it will wear out your body

My muscles were paining for you especially with that old furnace ,but what a haul. For some reason I did not think they were open Saturdays at the junk yard or should I say metal recycling Centre. Paul can you try something for me, next time you have brass on a hot water heater just take a 3lb hammer and whack it once it will snap right off, that my version of the snap tool. It works on cast iron sinks as well for the brass faucets. Just do it in the truck at the curb or quickly at the scrap yard it will add up quickly. Just some friendly advise.

I'm impressed how you used the lift gate to stack the appliances. I don't have that luxury. If at all possible, try putting the dryers on top because of the lighter weight.
