Scrapping an Escalade for Desperado parts!

More Desperado parts! I got a bunch of stuff off this Escalade, including an entire front end, awd front differential, awd transfer case, hydroboost booster and master cylinder, a 4L65E and some other goodies.
I’ve had some people ask for my address to send along something, so I thought I’d leave my address here incase you’d like to! I appreciate you guys.

I love how this truck has completely changed direction since maybe 3 or 5 videos ago, just a regular daily truck just making it look good to drive around, to now we gotta make sure this or that for when it gets turbo’d…. How long before a’guys got a fender for turbo truck because he like the sound & a fender to drive it around! 😂😂😂😂😂

Dude! Grab that shift lever! The chrome is a nice little accent for your truck. Also, the seat bottoms can be had for cheap and they are easy to swap. There’s also something to be said for a center console in a regular cab.

I did take the shift lever after 🙂 it’s so cool. I thought about doing the console but I have a wife and two daughters, there’s usually three of us in it at a time so I don’t wanna lose the center seat

Since it's a single cab pickup i think it would be cool to put a bench seat in it, but the correct Cadillac seat with the heated seat from a bucket. If you try it and it works feel free to claim ownership of the idea.

@@StationroadRatrods I'm no expert but I would think they all have front buckets with a console, my guess is they come in two configurations with the second row, either a split bench or buckets, with the folding third row always being a bench, but the third row might not work well in the front because it's over the rear axel so it's not as tall. But I've been writing before so it might not be possible at all...

A quick Google search shows that a second row bench exists in nice leather with wreath embroidery. It's a 60/40 split where the 40 folds down to get to the third row and the middle seat, with seatbelt, has a fold down cupholder/armrest/table majigger. My initial thoughts were that a second row might have mounting that raised the seat up so your transmission channel wouldn't interfere with the seat vs third row that mounts to the floor. Then scrounge heated seat elements from two buckets and install them into either side of the bench.

@DirtyShirt1914 yes yes you’re right, about the center row for sure. My wife’s Escalade had a solid bench, I switched it out for the split buckets so my girls could walk between the seats

Man, if you want just all matching colors for now, grab an $80 a gallon can of rust paint from Canadian Tire and coat it all one shade for now. My caddy paint job cost like $250 because I had to buy a spray gun as well.

@@StationroadRatrods Yeah, I don't know how the rust paint would react with the proper automotive paint if your going to do it correctly later. But as a temp job, could be good enough. And I am pretty sure you got a spray gun around somewhere.

That drivetrain would be pretty awesome for a typhoon clone with an LS swap. Just sayin. Finding a square body s10 blazer would be the hard part.

Typhoons are neat, I like the S10 truck versions myself. Did you see the one called sike clone on KZbin? Can’t remember his name for the life of me

@@StationroadRatrods syclones are super cool. I’m a big fan of them too, but the typhoon doesn’t get enough love. Lol. More typhoons were made than syclones, almost 1700 more, so they’re probably not “as” highly sought after. They were also a bit slower than the Sy. They were built from 91-93. All the syclones were built in 91, except 3 for 1992. I’ve just been really digging the old square body s10 blazers lately. No one does anything with them. Gotta be different by…lol. I did see that sike clone in my feed, just never watched it.
