You should try to make your piston car a piston-engine hybrid so you can travel long distances without worrying about gas.

Wish you can scrap unneeded stuff into the base material, maybe not one to one since it might be a bit op but like turn two rusted metal block into one metal block. Or those pipe pieces that some might not like into regular metal blocks.

So Z as scrap mechanic is a physics game, it was lagging so hard because it had to calculate all of the collisions between the huge flat surfaces of those free-floating sheds you yeeted off and the ground. Collisions, suspension and bearings are pretty much the main sources of lag in the game just for your information. Welding a free-floating object really helps with lag

Can bearings be "open" as in freely pivot? If so, 2 of those would make a 3-part hitch that would let you drag most anything. Just make it long enough, but not TOO long.

You can indeed have free-spinning bearings. You do it by not having the bearings hooked up to a control mechanism. You can see it happen if you ever get in a vehicle seat and forget to hook up your steering bearings with the connect tool (the wheels will typically both turn outward, opposing, to an extreme angle).

next time bring explosives. you can bring back the parts you blast off inside warehouse if you take them with you in elevator to bottom or to roof. then you can pick them up. some unique decor and parts.

@Z1 Gaming There is an easy way to survive the fall unscratched. That is cool right? But how there is no way to jump down, and survive unless you land in water. So that doesn't work either as we can't make a pond and the water is to far away. So jumping is out of question. But you can FALL DOWN, without getting hurt. The only thing you need is a drivers seat, a seat or a toilette. So when you get into one of these and fall down with them, you will survive without taking any damage. What might happen is, that you will overpen the ground, but no worry. You will spawn above ground sound and save.

You should reshade the game man. It looks soooo much better. Some adaptive sharpen, SSAO, FXAA, tone mapping and fake HDR makes it look crisper and more detailed, gives it better colours and makes it not so bright and saturated. The grass looks awesome too and its a lot easier to find items in the grass. I also have Quints ray tracing (path tracing) as well. If you wanna go support him on patreon you can get that too. Trust me. You wont believe the difference and you wont able to go back to vanilla. If you're curious, let me know. I can send you some comparison screenshots and my configuration (preset) if you want it.

you should build a little sorta L thing on your lift then smack it so it makes you ragdoll off the roof and you won't take any damage

i have to say i prefer to build the large chests as they have more durability and weigh less yes i know they take up more room but the less weight is a plus for me especially when i use my gas car (don't use it any more) use my controller car and it has 6 large chests and it doesn't really look too out of place since how i built it

I have a question. Being someone who has to play at lowest settings. Would it be more taxing on my pc to use a lot of blocks for walls (being I have my garden area set up like Z1 does.) Or would using the raw stone resource as a wall be more taxing on my pc?
