The thing about that is, we didn't NEED a new SF, SF3 was and still is the apex of Street Fighter. It is perfection in fighting game format, pure and simple. The greatest masterpieces are the ones no one knows about, and that's a fact in art as it is in games.
@Dasmesee17 жыл бұрын
That my friends is the best comeback I have ever seen!! against akuma too! parrying at it's finest!!
@statikeffeck17 жыл бұрын
I love how the crowd always says "HEY" during throws and combo moves for Urien, Makoto, and Yun.
@jamiany17 жыл бұрын
Thus, exactly a flushed out version perfectness of the simplicity of what I said. The comebacks were simpley amazing, both of them.
@Tsuroka16 жыл бұрын
god i love to watch RX play, he is rediculous every time, and yuki otoko is definately my favorite gouki player what an excellent match up
@AegisNeglector18 жыл бұрын
charge partitioning: when you input the command for the tackle don't hit forward+K. instead, hit forward, back+K; that way you're already charging the next tackle. this will give you just enough time to charge the next one. you can also apply this tactic to his Violence Kneedrop and the Dangerous Headbutt -- that's how you create alot of his unblockable Reflector setups. drop me a line if you have anymore questions.
@Dest55618 жыл бұрын
Well, after an akuma does a low foward, they tend to do the hurrican kick. He read that guy like a book. Good stuff.
@Jankenpop16 жыл бұрын
Still, once you get the first hit down you know what's coming next. This parry involved the Urien not knowing what Gouki was going to do next, and didn't even know what the strength of the Hurricane Kick was.

Magnifique, genial, stupefiant ! ^^ Quel jeu, il n'a pas pris une ride.
@ModelJames1315 жыл бұрын
I love that crowd.

forward, down, forward + any kick = the jump part. Then press the grab button(punch and kick at the same time) while in the air. Also, the strength of the kick button determines how far the jump is. Now you know =)The grab takes good timing though.
@kiuju2k17 жыл бұрын
I mean the fact you are impressed by the predictable low forward tells me everything.
@NamelessMC17 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It's just hard to press that point because Daigo's fans try to live in his success by being all over his victories. Daigo is the best fighting game player, but that doesn't make everything he do better than everything other people do. A manual combo parry is WAY harder than just knowing Chun Li's SA2 and parrying it. Justin Wong is also a desperate SA user.
@VersusBattlecast17 жыл бұрын
No. This is definitely much better than Daigo's video. Daigo countered on a Super Special attack while this guy countered on manual and special inputs - that's a massive differences right there! Probably the reason why some people like Daigo's video over this was because of the action build-up to the moment of defeat, the crowd's reaction was louder and the combo Daigo applied as the counter. While all those were great, overall, this guy used more skill in the heat of battle. Kick ass!
@Maraxusofk16 жыл бұрын
is this yuki? wouldnt be surpised cuz that is a beastly akuma too. but yeah, this is a metric shit ton harder to do than diago's stunt. not only is he parrying, he was able to predict a low atk in the middle of a parry (and hence change parrying timing for the low hit) and then parry the next few atks.

How did Urien do those three chariot rushes in a row?
@TheSpectre230016 жыл бұрын
I've heard that scream actually learned from RX. It shows a bit in this video.
@BodoFraggins17 жыл бұрын
just wondering, kiuju2k, you think that 9 parries in a row from 3 different moves is "pretty common" given that it was a tournament situation and both are on not much health. to be able to keep your cool in that dilemma is hard enough. But i guess your some sf3 master, in which case why not tell us all your sf3 handle?
@dkblade2715 жыл бұрын
any pro can see that coming. after red fireball, what do you expect akuma to do? of course hes going to hit low to confuse the forward parries. what do you expect after a low forward? fireball? srk? or hurricane? of course hes going for either hurricane or srk. its just like ryu charging a 4 hit denjin point blank. when you attempt the 4 forward parries, hes going to fuck you up by going low forward + hurricane. same shit here.
@sundevil3415 жыл бұрын
I can say if i had to parry chun's super (which i have done in combat on multiple occasions compared to this, i know for a fact i wouldnt have been able to guess right on this series of attacks. chun's super is the same EVERY time. the urien guessed right so well and had the timing to get everything right including the strength of the red fireball and the strength of the tatsu. so in my opinion it would be harder to guess this right with any reasonable accuracy.

This is seen every once in a while, but it's nowhere near common. Sure we've all seen something similar to this, but definitely it's something we don't see too often. That parry does take skill. Just because you can do it in practice mode, doesn't mean you're just as good as them. It's also true that these guys aren't the best 3s players around, but they are good. I've seen the whole match, and it's pretty decent.

Easier than "Daigo parry". Getting the first hit of the Houyoku is rather hard since you have to parry it before the superflash ...
@lukecardeaux16 жыл бұрын
He was about to OCV the other team, so I don't know how chumped was he getting in that particular tag match.
@Harmonaz18 жыл бұрын
I would have done the same thing as Match for chip damage, except that I would have put in a medium hurricane instead of the RH hurricane. Hopefully most players will still expect the two extra parries.

No Emilll that wasnt the most logical thing he could have done. The red fireball was good, but all he had to do was walk up and throw the him while he was parrying.

almost beats the infamous ken vs chunli if urien finished with a super that would be the COOP DE GRASS
@archaotic17 жыл бұрын
you can sit at home and practice parrying chun li's sa2 from the distance daigo did. not that it wasnt amazing what he did, but this urien player just predicted his opponents next 3 moves. that in my eyes is more impressive.

Well seriously because of SF3 we wited like 10 years for a new SF Game. Sf3 is cool and i love it to but like ono said he needs the mainstream and casauls back and then maybe in SF5 we gonna see parrys &co back.
@jamiany17 жыл бұрын
Yeah but you realize you have to press forward right before it happens? That takes timing in itself. Both are really amazing because either way, it's an extremely pressure-filled situation. I enjoy this comeback a ton, but Daigo's was very enjoyable due to his pure skill, since not both matches were "cheapness strategies getting a taste of their own medicine."

When playing someone you don't know @ only one game you can assume that they will do the "hard" parry. Either way you just take a guess and if it's successful and you keep your cool it's payday.

If Street Fighter 4 were a direct continuation on from Street Fighter 3, I think it would destroy the spirit of the franchise. There were plenty of people whining about how Street Fighter 3 changed Street Fighter 2's gameplay as well. Don't like it? Don't play it.

rofl akuma got OWNED big time
@TheRyad17 жыл бұрын
and yet, that akuma still won the entire match... haha thats what a top tier akuma looks like, like it or not, great zoning by that akuma player, urien had no choice but to dash and launch HOPING he will get him, and he did... it was a chance that he took that could have ended with him winning the round (which happened) or him losing it, since it is easily punishable
@jamiany16 жыл бұрын
....lol what? Why would you possibly think that? O_o *thumbz up*
@sundevil3415 жыл бұрын
i dont believe anyone realizes exactly how difficult the parry the urien performed. he had to predict STRINGS of attacks, not just chun's super. what was performed in this video was far more difficult.

I lol'd at all the stupid fights and the insanely stupid "I'm glad Akuma lost because of all his air fireball" comments. 3S is an amazing game. SF4 is a good game for what it is... it's trying to bring casual gamers back into SF to build a bigger base. Sure they made it easier... how many casual gamers are playing 3S? Not to mention but 3S has been out 9+ years now... Capcom wanted to deliver something new.

@blackman22317 жыл бұрын
Well, i look at it this way. Thats a pretty common akuma combo, that we see the akuma attempt before in the vid, so he might have expected it , and just parried it out. Plenty of ppl can parry combos liek these, like the jump- hardkick- low med kick hadouken combo. Not too special, But INSANE, at the same time. Daigos is better cuz... ITS A FUCKIN SPECIAL AND HITS LIKE 15 times, this combo hits maybe 8, or 9
@alphamei17 жыл бұрын
some people make the most pointless comments ever :D what the hell do you class as a good scream for god sake rofl kids today ay. Anywayz ^^ amazing come back, nice parry skills, especially that low one :D i wouda just have gone for the forward parries and hoped for the best in that situation lol.
@strider2k218 жыл бұрын
ridiculous! =O

SF4 is just vastly different from 3rd strike. It is more like SF2, which of course does not appeal much to SF3 people

Actually, I feel bad because it was pretty pointless saying - and I only knew because I watched the video response which is a DVD rip of the same match. Take a look :D

It's never that problematic. You're exaggerating. Her SA2 should be one bar instead of two but apart from that, the game is perfect.
