Screaming Jay Hawkins was quite popular with the ladies after his gigs. A website was set up so that his kids could one day meet. Allegedly he has somewhere between 57 to 75 kids.

Mr Hawkins is oddly hypnotic to watch .....perfect choice for Halloween week. Creedance Clearwater Revival also does a great version of this song. Thank you George and Alex for your very entertaining and eclectic channel.

I would love to see him and Arthur Brown perform together. But anyways Arthur Browns Fire song would be a good reaction
@BrianR.2 жыл бұрын
The whole Fire suite would be even better because you the context for Fire.

This was a perfect song for Spooktober. I knew the song, but not the version. I loved it. Is it just me, or does anyone else love comedic performances where pianists leave the pedals alone? This fella could be Tim Minchen's Spirit Animal. They both play keys with limited sustain or soft pedals; kinda like guitar without the Whammy Bar. On a different subject, if a bloke was inclined to send some music for your consideration, what is the email address they would send it to? Just asking for a friend...

Really enjoyed this, although I prefer Arthur Brown's version from The Crazy World of Arthur Brown's debut album. The Fire suite from the previously mentioned album would be a great reaction idea at some point in the future.

I agree. I also like the Fire Poem he did in 2010 video.

There's an absolutely fascinating podcast called The History of Rock Music in 500 Songs. The creator doesn't have the best voice for an interesting delivery, but the content makes me forget about that very quickly. If you're interested, here's the episode on this song: 500songs.com/podcast/episode-53-i-put-a-spell-on-you-by-screamin-jay-hawkins/
