When he’s at work, Holt is a Police Captain and is clear that he never wants to be defined (in an professional context at least) by anything other then the quality of his work. Thus, a Pride symbol hidden within his office supplies which allows him to give support and pride without involving anyone else in this non-work related subject.

The scariest scene in the whole show is the 20th episode, 5th season. When Jake and Boyle came back from the place with the multi state task force, the friends learn about a shooting at a Brooklyn Heights hotel. The gang listens to the radio and Gina asks a question, Holt replies back with Show me going and their badge numbers, they are saying to dispatch that they are at the scene. When Rosa speaks the lminous words that scared me. (Diaz 3118 show me going) It immediately scared me with the music and Jake telling us that its Rosa.

My favourite detail that I noticed myself is that in S7E3 'Pimemento' when Jake and Boyle are searching for Pimento and go to the tattoo parlour, the music faintly playing in the background is the song that The Vulture and his band play at his own birthday party in S3E4 'The Oolong Slayer.'

In the last season there's a moment where boyle left the conference room and jake stays in, and you can see clearly through the window how boyle walk away and stands up just staring at the camera and waving to it with his whole arm. Not sure if its been mentioned but i didn't know Charles is related to Susan Boyle. He mentioned a Boyle trait about Boyles achieving later on in life and mentioned his cousin Susan, Season 6 or 7. Took 3 re-runs to notice!
