Brooklyn Nine Nine is, without a doubt, one of the best comedies on TV right now, if not ever! With an ensemble of amazingly hilarious characters that just can’t be beat and some of the funniest writing out there, it is almost impossible not to love this quirky workplace comedy. But even the most die hard fans might have missed some of these amazing details about the show! Details like, the chant of “Nine Nine!” that Terry uses to pump up the squad was actually started off screen by Terry Crews! Or how about the fact that the props department snuck in a real-life photo of Andy Samberg and Melissa Fumero onto Jake’s desk! There’s the fact that Andy Samberg and Chelsea Peretti have actually known each other since they were kids, just like their characters, and that Terry Crews really is a great artist in real life too! The scariest scene in the whole show is the 20th episode, 5th season. When Jake and Boyle came back from the place with the multi state task force, the friends learn about a shooting at a Brooklyn Heights hotel. The gang listens to the radio and Gina asks a question, Holt replies back with Show me going and their badge numbers, they are saying to dispatch that they are at the scene. When Rosa speaks the lminous words that scared me. (Diaz 3118 show me going) It immediately scared me with the music and Jake telling us that its Rosa.

Dark O-man yes, he’s open and proud.. But, he’s very careful to be subtle about it so as to not draw unwanted or “unearned” attention from his subordinates, peers, and bosses.. When he’s at work, Holt is a Police Captain and is clear that he never wants to be defined (in an professional context at least) by anything other then the quality of his work. Thus, a Pride symbol hidden within his office supplies which allows him to give support and pride without involving anyone else in this non-work related subject.

Cagney and Lacey were symbols of female empowerment in a decade when representation of strong female characters was limited. The writers were paying homage to women and showing depth of Terry’s character. I know this is a comedy but that was a serious cool moment for the show, just like the pride binders.

Amy and Terry actually gave Captain Holt the portrait of himself back at the end of the episode, where they all decided the best option was to give it to Kevin. Holt then, as a parting line, says “Kevin will be glad you made me look so happy in this portrait” and then walks off, leaving Terry confused as he was in fact attempting to make him look serious in the drawing. So if you take it as a surprise that the portrait is hanging in Kevin’s office, then you weren’t paying attention earlier in the series.

My favourite detail that I noticed myself is that in S7E3 'Pimemento' when Jake and Boyle are searching for Pimento and go to the tattoo parlour, the music faintly playing in the background is the song that The Vulture and his band play at his own birthday party in S3E4 'The Oolong Slayer.'

I think it’s their height. My part Rott comes up to just above my waist and I’m only a few inches shorter than Joe Lo Truglio. I think they’re a bit shorter than normal Rotts - they look like Rotts, so I’m assuming Rotts.
