Solar Beam for Vesta instead of Fire Blast. He already has Flamethrower. Also do not forget to go to Celadon City and talk to the guy in front of the Team Rocket Casino to purchase Ice Beam, and to replace Sanic's Blizzard with it.

I hope that you decide to go for all 16 gym badges, this hack is awesome and I'm not quite ready for this series to be coming to a close just yet! Besides, everyone knows that it's a crime to play through a Johto game and not get all the badges lmao!!

don't worry, the league doesn't scale with badges and i did all 16 gyms and still barely managed to beat it. maybe this is also due to the extra rule in the pokemon league

You should *absolutely* get Solar Beam for Vesta! They already have Sunny Day so it work really well.

SunnyBeam isn't too terrible. Plus the extra Grass coverage and increased Fire STAB is nice, not to mention halving water damage. I'd also check out any Hidden Powers and see if the Pokemon have good ones they can use.

You could probably repeat the Brock fight to grind up tangerine easily

Peeram can learn Fire Punch. Since his Sp Atk is so much higher, and most Rock/Ground types have much better physical Def, it might be a better choice than Headbutt.

Imo, you should definitely have Solarbeam on Vesta if you're running Sunny Day. I think his best moveset would be Crunch/Fire Blast/Solarbeam/Sunny Day. For Gaara, Sandstorm/Toxic/Dig/Slash is a viable moveset, but not as good as Swords Dance/Earthquake/Slash/Anything. Edit - Also pllleeeaassseee play through the second half of the game. After e4 is really where most of Crystal Clear's best content is; the game is about to kick into high gear.

I love how re-obtainable a lot of the TMs are in this game. And not just that but having access to a move tutor is really great too. So many more pokemon get to shine because they aren't restricted by their awful natural move set.

I am pretty sure you have absolutely no chance at the elite four right now because I was barely able to get through the first three with level 52s. I wasn't using many healing items between battles because I was just testing them out, so you could probably beat them at level 50. You have to get to 52 for houndoom to learn crunch anyway so it works out.

don't worry about thunderbolt flamethrower and ice beam yoy can get them from the guy outside goldenrod game corner for 4000 each, might be useful to try to see who can learn what for some solid diversity

You got a nice team and pretty good movesets, so now you just need to train before tackling the Elite 4. I wish you the best of luck against them and I still hope that you'll go for 16 badges, because I love this hack and I'm having so much fun with this series!

You can re-challenge gym leaders by clicking on the statues to grind exp. Like, you could fight Erika with Vesta to get them up, fight Falkner to get Peeram up, and so on.

Eh, I dunno man. Leech Seed saved me when fighting the Elite Four. I agree with the other comments Solar Beam with Vesta with a Sunny Day set up would be awesome. Especially if you need to use Vesta against a Water Type. Vesta would be faster.

I'd go with Leech Seed/Spore/Protect/Giga Drain for Tangerine, stall is not the fanciest way but it could save you a couple times.

I think it's the best way to enjoy the game. You face the elite 4 two times. If you wait until the end after the 16 badges to face them for the first time, it's not even fair. Their levels don't scale with your badges. They are fixed. First time is a lot easier, and perfect to be matched after 8 badges. The second time their pokemon level basically doubles.

Scykoh shouldn’t feel bad about spending money on TMs, you can’t use items in battle when you fight the elite four in this game.

I think vesta can learn shadow ball And train on the gyms and earn more monies for more items. And ice beam is where Claire is, in the cave I think

Don't forget you can deposit items as well as sell them, type boost items ect are good to have...waste space when not needed.

Seems like rematching the gyms would be better for level grinding than finding random trainers and going that route... since I don't think you can rematch the trainers (though I could be wrong)
