You need 999 Gimmighoul Coins to evolve Gimmighoul. Also, Ghost Types can always run away, even through trapping abilities.

Acrobatics actually does *double damage* if you're not holding an item so it's basically a 110 power move, so as long as flam is not holding anything it clearly should be your go-to move

The dip in the cave where you got the dusk ball (around 11:12 ish) is where I fell through the map and wandered around out of bounds.

It's great when you unlock all Koraidon's powers as you can explore anywhere! Just bear in mind also that the higher the level of the wild pokemon, the harder they are to catch without many gym badges.

I would recommend against the route you're planning because that's the same route I tried in my playthrough and I got brickwalled hard on catching new Pokémon because the levels shot up and I didn't have enough badges to compensate. Don't let that stop you from trying, but if you find it super-hard to catch anything when the levels go up I would suggest heading out west from Mesagoza instead and planning a new route based on that as a starting point. :B

During battles, you can click in the right stick to set it to the standard pokemon battle camera. Wild or Trainer battles.

When you mentioned breeding, you can get egg moves without breeding a new pokemon using a Mirror Herb with an empty move slot with different egg groups at picnics, which can be bought at Delibird Shop.

Lol the camera while battling that Sableye. You may want to press the right stick to have the sort of traditional "cinematic" view that the battles in past games usually have in this game. You might sometimes also hear a sort of beeping noise if you try this tip - that means the game can't "put" you into the "cinematic" view for that battle. If I recall correctly, this game will NEVER tell you about this tip. Also heads up, you might wanna catch and/or knock out EVERY Gimmighoul (chest form) even if you've already caught one before because the coins that they drop are incredibly important for their *certain* form, the downside is that it's a massive grind (you need 999 coins) and then level up that Gimmeghoul. So I strongly recommend that you start with it immediately considering you said you want to complete the pokedex.

Just a tip, I recommend defeating every chest form Gimmighoul you find, as it rewards around 50 coins each time. Without doing so, it's nearly impossible to get the required 999 coins to evolve a Gimmighoul.

after you get 5 gym badges you can buy quickballs which helps with catching new pokemon, especially since you can run and reencounter most pokemon

Each calendar day the different map areas repopulate items to find, but they spawn randomly.

Picard's Log Day 27: YO! Today is going to be super! I can already feel it! Let's...erm...jump...right into things, shall we? ^_^ We started things off today by catching a non-Titan version of Orthworm! ^_^ Then we found the TM for Rock Slide while exploring! ^_^ Then we got into a battle against a Student named Esther who started things off by sending out her Sunflora so Scykoh let Craftee continue to grow! ^_^ Esther then sent out her Masquerain so Scykoh let Necali play with this meddlesome moth! ^_^ #MasquerainPaperFacesOnParade Esther then sent out her Donphan so Scykoh let me play with this pesky pachyderm! ^_^ Scykoh then found the TM for Brick Break while exploring! ^_^ Scykoh then found the TM for Smart Strike while exploring! ^_^ Then he caught a wild Sableye! ^_^ Then he caught a wild Salandit! ^_^ Then he found a TM for Sandstorm while exploring! ^_^ Then he caught a wild Lokix! ^_^ Scykoh then found a TM for Power Gem while exploring! ^_^ Then he found a TM for Reflect while exploring! ^_^ Then he found a TM for Acrobatics (ironically) while exploring! ^_^ Then we got into a battle against a Dragon Tamer named Marta who sent out her Appletun so Scykoh let Flam play with this fruity foe! ^_^ What will happen tomorrow?
