MSFS Dev VLOG TEAM! We love the all the content the team does, HOWEVER, you folks need to do better pre-production preparations. The audio levels of presenters are at times extremely difficult to make out. Had to turn my volume to near max to make out what Eran was saying during the EFB segment. Also on other Dev streams Martial Bossard almost always has a great deal of Bass reverb in his audio feed.

I am very thankful and appreciative for how openly you communicate to us. This is probably the wrong place to ask for this, but one thing I'd love to see in 2024 are the classic flyby views we had in FSX/other sims, without the hassle of setting up a stationary drone cam :)

These streams are really excellent, well done to all. I was kind of surprised that there were no questions about my use case. Specifically I'm a current 2020 Steam user and I had considered moving to MSFS platform for 2024. When I asked on various forums it seemed that any content I had purchased in 2020 from the market place would not actually be moved over to me in 2024 - I believe because the content would be attached to my Steam id. That kind of "forces" or at least strongly encourages me to stay in Steam because if I did move I'd lose at least 3 planes and similar numbers of sceneries totalling nearly $200. Assuming that is the reason, it would be interesting maybe if MS could offer marketplace credits equivalent to the revenue share received by MS from the 2020 purchase against future 2024 purchases. Given where we are in the cycle I's sure that won't happen but it's a shame.

Your Marketplace purchases will switch over if you plan on jumping platforms, say from 2020 Steam to 2024 Windows Store version.

@@Izmael1310 I wouldn't normally respond to a comment like this but as you ask so nicely I will break out my explaining crayons and answer the question. First some context - I am no fan of either corporation at the macro level so I have no real partisan skin in this game. I only run Windows to play games - all other stuff is on Linux. Why use Steam? There is no practical choice not to for any other game so I do. When 2020 released I went with what I knew at the time which was Steam. Now I know more. I don't like Windows as an OS but I love MSFS as a flight simulator. My first sim was Flight Simulator from Bruce Artwick on the AppleII so I'm clearly quite keen. In the past 4 years I've racked up 3000+ hours on 2020. This is despite my constant moans about the things that are wrong with it and should have been fixed years ago. Despite all this I find it an amazing thing and as noted in my first post I really appreciate the MS/Asobo/Dev levels of engagement. So - how am I approaching this? I'm trying to be non-partisan (see above) and just look at practical pros and cons with what passes for my version of critical thinking. The major reason I was going to buy 2024 on Steam was the original topic here, I wasn't happy to throw away hundreds of dollars. That is for now discarded as a reason. What benefit does being on Steam give me other than having all my games in one place? If you can tell me I'll review and see what that changes. What downside does being on Steam give me? As far as I understand, Steam is just an additional launcher handing off to MS servers and then doing nothing. When platform updates are pushed I have a (usually minor) delay while Steam process the launcher update and then I can get into the game and download the real update. In reality, the major issue against Steam is when I *do* purchase products from the marketplace - usually items which are only published there ie FSR500 or ATR. When I make the purchase I buy in MSFS but it then requires me to interact with Steam which is an extremely painful process with *zero* marginal benefit to me. Finally in case of error - is it my pc, is it MSFS or is it Steam. It's a layer of complexity and removing that is normally good. My usual preference is to buy new content direct from a developer as that maximises the income for the people making what I want. Side benefit is that it avoids the (imo) unnecessary encryption which is applied to marketplace products (incl. when via Steam platform). It also gets me updates *much* quicker. If I buy from the marketplace when I bought MSFS on Steam, then there are 3 people taking a cut, MS, Steam and the devs. I know what MS and the devs have brought but Steam - not so much. If there is no 3rd party dev involved then the principle still applies - I want the title to survive and thrive so why dilute MS revenue stream (which is how the MS bean counters will judge whether to shutter MSFS) by helping Gabe buy an even bigger Yacht? Hopefully this answers your question

@just2bme1000 , All other flight simulators like DCS. Xplane, Aerofly FS 4 have great and smooth fly by views. It's mandatory for a modern flightsim. You can learn to land more smoothly etc.... It's just a shame MSFS didnt incorporated it....

We hear a mushy, ugly noise while the sound should be bright and "there", I don't know how to explain but i can do it if the microphones do their job. I mean, you are MICROSOFT, pfff. You cooked the best simulator, i don't get it, you NEED SOUND.

Regarding the pricing increases, you're doing it backwards. You're forcing people in struggling economies to pay the AMERICAN price for this digital product that had no unitary price to manufacture, instead of keeping prices in check with their local economy so they can still buy your products. Especially true if we're talking digital products like these addons. When you make your unnecessary product (as in "not needed for survival") into a luxury product, that's how you turn your potential customers to piracy. I have no idea how so many Microsoft MBA people refuse to understand that. Take a look at what Steam is doing with regional prices. A game sold $20 here is priced at $3-$4 in Brazil, but at least it's a lower revenue stream instead of a piracy nest. You also don't explain how EU prices have been bumped up when the USD is weaker than the EUR. Could it be because you're desguising greed as "saddening inflation adjustments"?

It actually doesn't exclude any potential buyers at all, you're the one that makes the choice. Steam isn't the only option out there and it is arguably worse than the MS version, though still better than the Xbox version. So, it doesn't exclude anyone, it does how ever leave you with a choice: to recognize that Steam is not the only option , or be pedantic and overly dramatic. The choice is yours.

Out of curiosity, as i donnt know much about gaming pcs and specs etc, how much would I expect to pay for a (not so expensive pc) that can run the new sim at a decent quality (even xbox series x graphic quality suits me tbh)

what a horrible game this turned out to be ! Engines shutting down in missions , Insufficient fuel in missions Putting my approach speed to over 200 knots for a Cessna 172 ! Also them putting my approach speed to 0 knots in a Cessna 172 This game is horrible.. what a waste of $200, pleasse fix this pls make this game playable , The only thing i had that had no bugs was walking on the ground

We have everything with fs24. Maybe i could use gsxpro and thats it. With fs20 i used at least 10 programms to get what fs24 offers. Bye bye

I'm really sorry for the people in Brazil and Turkey, but thats how the today world is. I'm from a country from Central Europe. Our average salary is 1/3 or 1/4 of all other states in western EU (Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, UK, etc.) German citizen, French citizen or Netherlands citizen is paying THE SAME PRICE as I have to for the same addon. Unfortunately world is not fair. Just deal with it. If you just imagine it addons total worth of 1000 € average western Europe citizen has to work for it a week. I have to work full month to get this (no costs counted, just income).

I missed the stream but i want to ask the Asobo devs to make the EFB Tab at the bottom of the screen disappear while walking around, and make it appear only when moving the curser/pointer to the bottom of the screen. Like making it appear like top screen icons arrow. Also making it possible that we lay down flat on the ground. Also a feature that when we arrive at an airport, we could grab a soda and a snack from vending machines that are automatically placed at airports. Also when we walk or run please make our arms swing. Also leaving footprints in the snow. I'm very sorry for this, but i keep thinking of things while im typing. Allowing us to see random NPC'S out in the world, walk up to them, trigger dialogue, and have that Npc become a companion. And over time you've built a family that you could take on vacations with you. You might stumble upon a woman with her 2 children for example on a hiking trail, walk up, trigger small dialogue, and now im a her husband. I'm about to be completely destroyed by the community for saying that. But i believe in any world, you should live😊
