Seafood Beach Buffet in Hawaii | Best Crispy Roast Suckling Pig Lechon in Honolulu!

I have called Plumeria to try the suckling pig and was told that is not available on their regular buffet but only on special occasion . I guess they did it the day you made a reservation because they will be featured on your vlog. That is deceiving to patrons. If I just come there for the lechon, it will be very disappointing, glad I called and checked. Please mention Lechon is only on special occasion and not part of regular buffet, not to entice people to go there and try. I always watch your vlogs

Used to stay at what was the Kahala Hilton as a young girl - then was Kahala Resort - stayed SO SO many times. Beautiful spot. Never had that buffet though. Must go back one day.

The Kahala Hotel has seen a few US Presidents and other dignitaries from rhe US and other countries stay there, it is a high end hotel here on Oahu. Loved the video so much i watched it 2x in its entirety. We locals here identify black cod as 'butterfish' as it can be cooked in so many ways! and is so buttery smooth when swallowing!

you mentioned that the Waianae pig farm feeds their pigs with moringa/marungay, etc (so many different spellings depending on the region) is displayed on the board at the 13:46 mark as it surrounds the succulent lechon. A lot of Filipino foods use the leaves (and its fruit) in this healthy superfood item.

On the mainland/Canada, butterfish is sometimes referred to as Pacific black cod or lingcod. It's most commonly featured in lau lau. Buffet looks AWESOME

If you liked the view at the Plumeria Cafe at The Kahala, you will really like Michel’s at The Colony Surf. It is an amazing fine dining restaurant right on the beach with an amazing sunset view. There is also Orchids at the Halekulani. And the Sunday brunch buffet at the Halekulani is something special as well.

It's quite an amazing setting overlooking the beach and really great food too! Someone just mentioned that when they called to book, they mentioned that the suckling pig was in part of the regular menu and it was only offered on different occasions.. I hope you got a chance to give that a try, it was probably the best roasted suckling pig I've ever had 🙂

You'll be hard-pressed to find Lobster at the buffet, but in my opinion, the orchids restaurant has probably the best buffet in Waikiki... But you have to book really far in advance.. so I do it now

@@Hysteria_riff I've never been there on the lobster night, but the palms casino has a lobster buffet... You'll have to go in at noon or 2:00 p.m. to get a ticket for the dinner later... But be forewarned that it's a lot of waiting. If I was just going to spend the night there, I'd probably go for Caesars Bacchanel buffet, but be sure to make a reservation
