Thanks everyone for giving @inkztagram some tips. I haven't seen empty gansai pans being sold yet.. but i agree that these large pans are really helpful for artists who make large size paintings.. i think, if you need large pans for your paints, you can checkout the NEEF Palettes sold by DesArtroom. Thank you, Laurie.🙏🏻 For sure these companies (atleast the bigger ones) have their sort of inhouse evaluators of their products for specific target market.. but i would really love a job like that! 🎨 Like a sort of an outsourced company to test the products and rate it, and give possible recommendations.. But if you're saving for the Pure Pigment Set in exchange of not getting some, 'lower quality' paints, then I'm happy for you. Great review. It's hard to find videos where they shop at AliExpress. I currently use the Kuretake Gansai Tambi set and I'm running out of some colors. I don't want to purchase another $50 set when I go through them so fast. Thanks again.

Cheap mystery pigments from China? I would take that "longevity" with a couple of grains of salt...They don't look bad though. I think when going the relatively cheap route a student grade paint from a known manufacturer with info on what pigments were used (so not just a fancy color name) is preferable. I use a Sonnet 24 color set from the producers of White Nights.

Yeah, i definitely agree. If you reach the comparison part in the last part, ive included the Sonnet in my 3 best student grade paints along with VanGogh & Cotman. Sonnet wins for the price though. 🎨

You're welcome. 😉 The best watercolor set for beginners is the best set he/she can comfortably afford. If he can get an artist grade, why not. If in time he doesn't love watercolors, he can sell it, so it's not going to waste. The best paints doesn't depreciate. 😉

I was actually watching your mijello pure pigment review but saw this o: i do love the intensity of the gansai tambi colors and thought this looked like a good dupe/ cheaper alternative haha. I’m wondering about the lightfastness of the paints though, have you tried the window test on it? Or how does it look now after a few months has passed? Again thank you so much for your reviews!

Glad it was helpful! I feel like these cheaper paints are more vibrant than the Gansai Tambi. what makes the Gansai Tambi unique is its sticky formula caused by glue. I havent tested the lightfastness of these paints.. but considering the low price and the absence of pigment codes, I am not expecting these to be lightfast, tested or not. :)

the O.win and these are very comparable performance wise. However, the seamiart semidry has more paints because it is almost 2x more expensive than owin. none of the 2 is a bad choice. if you go for the o.win, its advantage is that it has a better container than this semi-dry. :) ENjoy your future set of paints. and thank you for watching din. :)

Hmm. Wait, isa isahin po natin. Hehe. For me, it's Superior. Mas matingkad ang colors niya and mas advanced. Prang is good pero masyadong colorwheel based. Please watch my reviews on Prang, Prang old and new, and Superior pans set and superior fan Palette. Na compare ko po sila sa Superior Fan Palette review. Pans or tubes, wala naman weight un kung beginner or not. The advantage of pans is portable na siya and you can use it anytime, anywhere. And advantage ng tubes is no activation needed and mas maraming laman for the price. If your budget permits, it's much better to get fewer colors of higher grade paints in tubes. Say budget is 1k, you can get na 6 tubes of VanGogh or Cotman or a 24 color FULL pans set of Sonnet. These are top quality student grade paints. Pag isipan mo. 😉🎨

Ugh... I saw at you touching the pan at the beginning of the video and I'm like "Just... don't touch the pan over and over again". It's like touching Mission Gold watercolors when they are freshly poured out and you let them dry for 2 days. I still have Phthalo Blue on my nail.. 😅 But again, nice video. 😊

@@getthatkatching3252 I think they never dry down completely because there's honey in the binder. I have some of their paints that needs some days and their ready to use like Lavender and Shell Pink. But I guess it has something to do with the pigments too.

Hi. Haaha. Sorry for the late response. Yeah, they dont really dry that well. Much more in PH where humidity is super high. Sometimes, i use hair blower to dry pan surface incase i need to bring them out it helps, temporarily.🎨😉😆

@@AllanJayQuesada I'm not mad, it's fine. It's hard to dry paints that contains honey sometimes. I was wondering if a heat tool would help. Some binders stay more "liquidy" then others I guess. I also heard the same issue about M. Graham, too. They will never dry down completely.

@@Christine_R Yess. Some would appear to be like melting in heat, so the wind blow must also be strong to vaporize some of the liquids that may vaporize. Oh, MGraham is the mama of all the paints that don't dry. Actually, the queen. Hehehe

Ei, sorry didn't mean to imply that. Hehe. The reference is that some artist grade paints that are counted as "expensive" is equivalent to this set, like the cheapest 15ml tube from DS is now 650Php each.. the idea is, any paints set lower than 15USD is considered on the cheap side.

Ive already watch many of your vids today, and searched them on shopee for their prices and yes, its really cheaper compared to those almost or morethan 2k watercolor sets. Anyways, hope you can make a video on categorizing diff watercolors. like which is good for commission and which is for practices (Im really having hard time if what to buy really)
