One time I was driving back to Columbus from West Virginia and there were NO CARS on the road. I literally saw like four the entire trip home. It must have been a holiday or something. Either way, thank god because it was SUPER slick. I literally spun out like 20 times. ... WEll that was mostly because I was a dumb ass and decided I didn't want it to take a millenia to get home so I went 65 and would basically slide alllllll thhheee wayyyy dooowwnnn a hill and ... dear god hopefully I make it up the other siiiiddee-yup okay whew.. x50. It was like car skiing. ... In all honesty I remember it being a really weird dream like state while it happened because I have no radio or anything ... just the sound of wind and sliding while going really fast. I EASILY could have died.

When we went in it was clear and when we left, it was like a blizzard. We didn't slide too much on the way home, but my friend in the back seat was bugging out lol. Glad you made it safe btw!

I have a very similar story to this, minus the cliff. I am a calm guy, and lost control of a transport van on an icy road. As we are spinning out I turn to the guys in the back and calm as can be said "Sorry guys, this is gonna suck". And a second later we flew off the road sideways and landed in a deep ditch and my tires exploded on impact (didn't roll thankfully). And afterwards the others in the car said the most terrifying part was the calm of my voice, as if I'd already accepted we were going to die. Still makes me laugh
