Met the lady who's dog got killed in Hamilton a few weeks ago at the police station a week ago, animal control has not even attended the house where the 2 dogs that killed her dog yet, nor have police charged the owner w dangerous animal though it was on a muzzle order. I'd think the First Rule of responsible pet ownership is Following the Law! The beach was a NO UNLEASHED ANIMALS area. In Victoria Park here in Truro just a couple days ago I saw a lady release her very large dog to chase a deer! It’s an on leash area, as is the entire park. I was on a bike, it could have easily decided to chase me instead. People don’t have sense here either it seems. 😢

Doesn't sound like there is much benefit to coming forward, though. If you're just as likely to get the maximum punishment either way, you might as well take your chances. Heck, she could just be visiting the province and decided to leave. Wouldn't be very likely to get caught in that circumstance. An absolutely garbage thing to do, to be sure. But a surprising amount of people couldn't care less for doing what is morally right, and only do what is best for them. So I'm not surprised they would take their chances.

I bet that small dog started it all. I get it all the time. Small dog would start fronting on my dog. I had two small deliberately loose to run up on my dog. I just had a wired hair terrior run up on him. Mine is a Bull Terrior pit mix or something. These dam small dogs start barking and creating a reckless behavioral problem. You blame the bully breed or a pit or XL....you all need to get your head on right. Oh poor little dog. Yet that little dog cause it all. These bigger dogs, don't see how big they are. My still thinks its a lap dog. I don't let my dog loose around little dogs . Little dogs are the actual reason way most of them died by the hands of a bigger dog.
