Years ago, I was a radio DJ at a station where one of the morning show guys’ wife had a daughter. EVERY SINGLE MORNING this jerk would get on-air and tell the whole damned city what his baby had done. This went on for 2 years! OMG! I just wanted to tell him, “nobody gives a damn what YOUR kid does!” Just like nobody cares about my little story here. 🤷🏻‍♂️😆

Once I coached my sons on a sports team...riding home from a particularly bad game, they asked “How did we do today?” I asked if they wanted to know the truth. Yes. “You stunk today!” They knew they had an honest dad, because they agreed they played pretty badly...BUT they learned that it was not because they didn’t “win” but because they did not deliver what they both knew they were able to do, they let themselves down (so did the other players) and it was a building block moment to “ man-up” and play their best with a good attitude win or lose next time. They both turned out to be solid citizens.

Totally. For nearly 20 years working in residential group homes with teenagers because parents who are supposed to be adults couldn’t get their shit together and raise their child. It’s mind blowing that we had to create a job to be surrogate parents for those who won’t. People after asking me what I did for a living people would actually tell me I’m noble which always blew my mind 🤯I never saw it that way, it wasn’t noble. It’s called stepping up to the plate.

I am one of the kids that he is talking about and yes I don't see parents criticizing us as much as they should. I may be in honors and ap classes but that don't mean I am smart it just means I can recognize patterns. I feel like if my generation was criticized more we would grow more. Its like feeding a plant lemonade instead of water. Sure there is some water in lemonade so it will grow a little (giving only positive feedback means we keep doing what we are doing) giving it water (negative feedback so we can improve) will help the plant (us) I am sorry for the rant but I needed to say this and I felt like this needed to be heard. Have a nice day everyone.

That's why Sebastian is the GOAT of stand up comedy for me. His material is perfectly delivered, very funny and also very didactic, as it exposes and sheds light to things that are wrong in society with the hope of people realising and fixing them. That has been the main role of comedians even back from ancient Greece where comedy (Greek word) started. It's easier to always swear or make the clown to gain laughs from the audience but Sebastian took another route which makes him the undisputed goat for me, given that he is also genuinely funny, charismatic in physical comedy too and very consistent throughout the years as he almost always delivers perfectly his material which he seems to know and have worked on, very well! Bravo!

This is so funny and yet so true. I used to coach 2 to 6 year old kids in soccer and as a coach, I know kids that small are a bundle of energy so before we began practice, I would pick a tree off in the distance and I would say, "Okay kids, when I say Go, run around that tree and come back." At that point, some dad pulls his kid aside and says, "If you don't win this race, we ain't getting ice cream!" I looked at the dad and said, "Really? This isn't even a race, it's to get their blood and heart rate going so we can practice!"

I know of people who grew up listening to classic rock of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They had kids and now they listen to Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift. Yes, they have turned into their daughters. A big salute out there to those rare youngsters that listen to classic rock and country.

Then if another person starts talking about their own kid the other parent doesn't want to hear it. They throw in a short "oh yeah? That's great". Even though they just spent 30 mins talking about how Jimmy plays 20 sports and plays the piano and he's only five.

KIDS ARE NOT FOR EVERONE. I'm with you Sebastian. Im 53, my wife is 43, been married 15 years and we have no kids and are loving our freedom. I was a brat growing up, my brother was a brat, I watched my friends annoy the crap out of their parents and today I see nothing but a bunch of spoon fed out of control kids with zero respect for their parents. I DO NOT need that shit in my life besides I'm all the kid I can handle anyway.
