The older I’ve gotten, the more cowboy I’ve become! Love ya Tim and Faith❤

The cowboys I grew up with were hard working, Hard living, hard core son of a bitches. Work dusk to dawn, fight at the drop of hat, and also very protective of women. Generally, not men you would want to mess with in any way. By the way, I am a cowboy, but I'm getting old. Lol.

Funny story as TIm McGraw was getting big. I had an older guy working for me in the 90s who kept talking about his nephew playing pedal steel in a bar band that was playing bigger and bigger venues in Mississippi. I was politely happy for him, then one day he said "the boy" is playing here on Long Island. I said wow, what is the name of the band? He said "tim MCGraw" band! I said, Virgil why didn't you say that in the first place? that's BIG!

😂😂😂 Sounds like my family. "The boy" "the little girl" and they always kind of down play the level of what someone is doing because they don't want people to think they are bragging.

Tim Mcgraw is married another great singer Faith Hill Little known fact: Tim was adopted and later found out his birth father was Tug McGraw, a Major League baseball player. He finally met his father when he was about 11 years old. His wife Faith Hill was also adopted. Check out "Standing Room Only" and 'One Bad habit." His wife is in the video. He has won 3 Grammy awards.

Cowboy-ism is a state of mind not limited to working a ranch, and as the last verse suggests, women can have it too. Individual sometimes to the point of selfishness, strong convictions sometimes to the point of being blind, commitment to friends and family unconditionally. Strong and weak, heroic and flawed. The song says it all and it is definitely my favorite McGraw song.

I was listening to what you said about Yellowstone making cowboys/country cool. I guess that's true for people who didn't really know. But i grew up riding horses before I could walk. One cousin rode bulls, one was a bull fighter, Uncle had a riding arena at his house. We've always known cowboys & country was the way to live. 😂

This is from Set This Circus Down, one of his best albums cover to cover. Telluride, the title track, You Get Used to Somebody, Unbroken, Things Change, Forget About Us. His next album, Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors is my favorite. To this day, I’ll dig up some songs from that one. Home, Tickin’ Away, Watch the Wind Blow By, Sing Me Home (great outro on that one) and a cover of Tiny Dancer.

Just call Alley when it time to help the heifer deliever her calf and it’s turned wrong and if you don’t have a chose but help, or you will lose 1 or both. But it’s so satisfying to feel and check that the cord is not around the neck. Then you feel around and pull its leg up around it head. Then you go for the other. Then get you hands around the shoulders, and when she goes to pushing you go to pulling. And there you are with a precious calf in your lap Mama looking at you a you know she’s thanking you then you get up and most of the time she’ll give a soft mow. Such a beautiful time in life. And the cow know you’re helping them. Oh man I wish I could be there to see that. Love you guys.

A *lot* of country songs were written by professional song writers. Occasionally one of the writers get their own recording contract and get in front of the fans, but mostly the tunes are written by a mostly unknown crew in Nashville. In his long and immensely successful career, George Strait only wrote one of the songs he put on a record.

Cowboys have, over time, become mythological - loners, never committing, always looking for a new road to travel. So, Sebs, if you experience that life, be careful that it doesn't lead you away from your family.... Alit has the "cowboy in her" - supporting you to go to a ranch and try your hand, despite the risks involved.

Good Lord, that's a good song, but the posing and muscleman flexes are ridiculous. This is an aging man who can't accept it, so he shoots basketballs, wears wife beaters, and flexes on stage. Sebs, you're already a better man than this wannabe. Work hard, take care of your family and teach your children well. You;re already a cowboy. You don't need his play acting. He gets rich off of it--you won't.
